Yes , Any new info for the pocminer written in C and not in java ( java is very very slow  Sad ) .

95% done, but usable if you add your passphrase to the code manually.
- a lot faster
- multithreaded
- multiple plot directories
- uses almost no memory
- for solo mining only (I guess)

http://pastebin.com/PrnGyg19

Go to line 101 and put your passphrase in. Remember to replace spaces with +
Then compile (gcc -o mine mine.c shabal.o -lpthread)

When running always end the path's with /
so:

Code:
> ./mine 127.0.0.1 /mnt/disk1/plots/ /mnt/disk2/plots/ /mnt/disk3/plots/
2872 MB read/11488 GB total/deadline 13929s (13855s left)
New block 8144, basetarget 12214315
2872 MB read/11488 GB total/deadline 3537s (3166s left)
New block 8145, basetarget 12897708
2872 MB read/11488 GB total/deadline 12357s (12077s left)
New block 8146, basetarget 13253224
2872 MB read/11488 GB total/deadline 2202s (1944s left)
New block 8147, basetarget 13829153
2872 MB read/11488 GB total/deadline 2579s (1850s left)
New block 8148, basetarget 13957505
2872 MB read/11488 GB total/deadline 9786s (9643s left)
New block 8149, basetarget 13761067
2872 MB read/11488 GB total/deadline 17811s (17506s left)
New block 8150, basetarget 13768134
2872 MB read/11488 GB total/deadline 8542s (8407s left)

its working for pool mining at http://burst-pool.cryptoport.io

but sometime it get segfault when  new block event, do you know why? but if i run inside gdb its ok, no problem at all, is it thread problem maybe?
source and bin is here https://s3-ap-southeast-1.amazonaws.com/burst-mirror/dcct-pool-miner.tgz
Hi Uray, do you know why when I'm mining I receive this error??

Submitting share
{"result":"Passphrase is for a different account"}

these are some of the case :
- did your account have public key? (done atleast 1 output tx)
- reward assignment transaction done? if its done, its maybe your reward assignment not confirmed yet by network
- you are using wrong miner, you can't use miner for solo, there are one more field on post request on pool mining which is accountId, pool will detect if you have accountId field, it will ignore passphrase, if you dont have it, pool will read passpharase and redirect for solo mining (in this case your secret passphrase is wrong for your account)

hey guys, im thinking about to buy new HDD just for it. What do you think about Western Digital Green 6000GB 64MB cache . Is it viable ? How many coins for a day I can expect with that ?

2x3TB are better they cost less, actually the seagate barracuda is the best for 3tb, equal cost to WD but with 7200rpm, easy to resell

I still haven't had time to set up my pc for mining. Was just wondering if anyone could tell if it would be worth it for me to give it a try and if so how many coins I could expect to mine per day. I'm on windows 7 and I only have about 80gb of free space I can use  Undecided  Thanks!

maybe you can delete ur porn first to free up some space

Thanks for the advice, I'll see what I can do  Wink

You seem pretty intelligent, I'm sure you can tell me around how many coins I can mine per day with 80gb of free space? Please?

About 140 coins/day. With current difficulty.

Edit: amph was faster  Cool

hey guys!!!
how to calculate it?

there is a profit calculator?

we are doing 3.6M coins per day with 2peta net hash

man i dont care about resell them because my eshop offer to return goods back in 2 months without giving them reason if you pay 10e fee. So my plan is clear I will back that hdd after 1 month and 29 days of use im just asking if this is the best one for mining.

I pretty sure u need to leave your passphrase blank in pool mining

Of course, otherwise you will solo mining!

I'm not sure of one thing...

Can I just copy the burst_db folder to each drive or must I connect to the wallet and let it download each time?

Thanks

You only need one client running. It is listening on 127.0.0.1:8125 and every miner can connect to that client.

What you may need is one miner per drive.

OK Did that. Thanks. I am mining while generating plots. I wish that I would have noticed the pool V2 before I started that because now I am worried that if I move everything to the pool folder that I will have to start at square 1.

it's a bit strange. mining on v2 pool, having shares, but on curent user balance, shows nothing...
What account number?

10979493466573385217
switched early in morning from v1 to v2
switched 2 pcs and one is working fine and show the balance, but the second shows nothing Smiley

Did you update the ip in your bat file?

 java -cp pocminer_pool.jar;lib/*;lib/akka/*;lib/jetty/* pocminer_pool.POCMiner mine http://127.0.0.1:8125 http://178.62.39.204:8121

this is mine.bat
in the last 8 minutes already submited more than 5 shares
on v1 made on that pc over 800 coins in 2 hours.
on v2 - made crap.. nothing... so i might go back to v1 if v2 has a bug Smiley

I don't know. I haven't had any bugs so far that didn't turn out to be user error, but I'm drawing a blank on this for now.

so?
turning to v1?

Dev, can you answer please? mining this way for 4 hours, i am on allowed user on the pool, but... where are my shares going?
It's a bug or i need to move back to v1? I have the same setup on 2 machines and 1 is working and 1 don't.

Thanks.

I get 3500 Nonces/Minute

I have an I7 920 overclocked to 3.9Ghz with 32GB of ram.

What is the best stagger to use? A low value or a high value?

Thanks in advance

I'm getting 3500/min on i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10GHz (under Linux).

Hi Guys,

So im using the below settings and getting 2500 Nonces/minute.

./plot XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX 1 1869824 38000 8

But if I change it too

./plot XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX 1 1000 1000 8

I get 3500 Nonces/Minute

I have an I7 920 overclocked to 3.9Ghz with 32GB of ram.

What is the best stagger to use? A low value or a high value?

Thanks in advance

Should I be getting more Nonces/minute with that CPU? I'm using dcct's plot generator on unbuntu.

I bought up the last 4x open box special Seagate 4TB hdds for $120 each at Newegg, total was $516 USD after tax and free 3 day shipping via Premiere account.

3TB and 4TB hdds are the best price point at the moment.

I've got 3 x 2TB and 1 x 3 TB HDD that I could potentially use for mining this. How many coins per day would I get If I set it to run 24/7?

ok guys im confused.it doesnt take much for me.lol.i have not done any pool mining yet.all my plots are solo.what do i need to do to mine v2 pool.
1. Download pocminer_pool
2. move your plots folder from pocminer_v1 to pocminer_pool
3. In the mine.bat file, edit the poolip to http://178.62.39.204:8121
4. Go to http://localhost:8125/rewardassignment.html
5. At the bottom fill in your passphrase, and put BURST-8NZ9-X6AX-72BK-2KFM2 as recipient and submit. This will have a fee of 1
6. After 4 confirms, your generate address will show up in http://178.62.39.204:8121/users
7. run mine.bat

Can I move plots while they are being generated or must I wait? I'm 2 hours in on 6 TB over 5 HDs.
