Blockchain splits on PoS and it has been related to the recent issue. We've sent out requests to put wallet into maintenance mode few days ago; Bittrex did so which made them be not affected.

I'll be uploading blockchain data, or people can connect to 104.128.225.215, and will post test regarding the current issue.

We do be aware of the situation, and try as much as possible to bring back normal operation, and fix the PoS issue.

Thanks for the update Joe, anything we can do to help?

Thanks; we'll need more people run test wallet as mentioned above.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I wish my wallet had enough Magicoin to actually stake. I just got done running v1.4.6.1-test for 30 minutes with an empty wallet, and I just started the client again with my actual wallet which I will run for 30 minutes as well. I'll be posting debug logs to PasteBin for Joe and any curious people.

I was trying to get solo mining setup last night, but I gave up shortly before going to bed.

Looks like port 3333 is having issues again.

So problem solved ? Now we can go back to earn nothing, like it was in the last 3 months ?
Because, lets cut the hypocrisy for 5sec... people have been earning a lot more since the network has been under attack...Grin
Can we just go back to what it was in 2017 ?

not sure why xmg price goes up in regards to btc.
no new develpment, a lot of 51% attacks etc.
it should go up in usd price if btc goes up, not in btc price. strange

Cheesy the dev said the problem was solved...
I am having hard time to get any connection to my wallet...
and something I noticed (not new though), I never get any connection with the official nodes...
may-be if those one were broadcasting something, that would help avoiding fork...

anyhow, I am probably on my own fork already Grin

For test only (don't run for regular use):

The following are for testing solutions to the current issue; for one who wants to help out, here are the steps:

Source: https://github.com/magi-project/magi/tree/1.4.6-test-1

# Download blockchain and unzip into the right place:
https://m-core.org/bin/block-chain/m-block-chain-1813042.zip
https://m-core.org/bin/block-chain/m-block-chain-1813042.tar.gz

# Download binaries (windows, linux and osx):
https://m-core.org/bin/m-wallet-1.4.6.1-test/m-wallet-1.4.6.1-test.zip

# Setup magi.conf:

Code:
rpcuser=magirpc
rpcpassword=magipass
daemon=1
server=1
listen=1
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
posii=1

addnode=159.203.71.237
addnode=138.197.70.198

# Launch the wallet

We'll monitor progress; pls help mining on test chain, particularly PoS staking.

Weird bug
Running Linux Ubuntu 18.04:

Running a standard desktop, not a touchscreen device

m-wallet would not run until I installed the "touchscreen" library "libts.sd.0"
Code:
./m-wallet: error while loading shared libraries: libts.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I installed the library:
Code:
sudo apt install libst0

wallet then starts.

should we use this chain from now on or is it just for the tests of the new client 1.4.6.1?
