Not sure if anyone needs this, but with the win64 m7m CPU miner v2, my i7-5930K (OC'd to 4.3GHz) runs at 48 khash/s using the 64 bit Spexx version, and at 51 khash/s using the 64 bit Marcus version.
temperatures stay at around 55C with watercooling.

On a point of order here, the latest 64 bit version of my miner for AVX2 processors runs just a little faster than the Marcus (Haswell) version. I suspect you may be using my generic version of the miner for non-AVX processors. Make sure that you have the latest versions and are using the right one for your processor. The complete collection of my miners is available here:-

https://www.dropbox.com/s/uudj2npeyixesjb/Spexx-Win64-generic-XMGminerd.exe?dl=0

This is a self-extracting zip file that will unzip to C:\XMGminer by default. The miners are unzipped to their own sub-folders 32bit, generic, avx and avx2.

Well, the AVX version runs about the same (or rather, exactly the same) as the marcus version on my I7-3610QM Smiley

Scratch that, it picked up. It's not much (24Khash to 25.5 Khash) but it's definitely improvement Cheesy

Joe is working on a new website for Magi as the previous one looked a bit old-fashioned and wasn't up to date.

Just a quick reminder: There are 4 Magi pools, please spread the hashrate. We need some more miners at Maxminer's pool.

In this case you ARE the Maxminer's pool  Shocked ok, at least nearly...

But I'd like to mention that I'm mining with 6 kh/s highspeed in this pool, too  Grin

I read about that DGB software, too and thought, would be nice for newbies. Then I remembered that we already have it:

Link is dead as Joe is currently working on the new website. I've uploaded it to my Dropbox account

Was GPU kernels ever developed?

Magi is intended as a CPU coin. Sure, you could develop a GPU miner (probably some are doing it yet), but that wouldn't give you the expected profit. Please read the following 2 statements from the developer:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735170.msg10202473#msg10202473
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735170.msg10201766#msg10201766

If you are looking for a coin that gives you more coins and profit when mining with highspeed, there are a lot of. If you are looking for a energy-efficient coin which tries to take farms, GPU miners and botnets their advantage against small miners, you are more than welcome here.

4770k goes to 90C with watercooling, OC'd to 4.6 and OV'd. Pulls 70kh/s minimum with mine.
Not sure why yours is so much faster and warmer.. What miner are you using?

My own - noncepool miner heavily customized with the main hashing code rewritten. A lot of the computation has been precomputed and replaced with lookups.

Now thats cool, but I suppose you won't be releasing it anytime soon?

I might, if there's a bounty.

Well my original post was intended to compare with people using the same miner, you just kinda bragged with your own miner Smiley

You didn't say that, though...

But I must still say, I find it impressive that you manage to create speed improvements for basicly every innovative algorithm!

Thanks!

Still work in progress! Better good launch than fast and not finished! Give him some extra time! Wink
