Have some experience with google SEO and SERP.
The best will be that all of us make some links to coinmagi.org with anchor text 'Magi', or 'coinmagi', etc..., on our sites where we are webmasters..
There is no way to remove something on google results, only to make some links "better"..

Talking of confusing information.

From the UK if you search magi coin you get this as the top link(which is above www.coinmagi.org/) :-

It looks like the coin(The MagiCurrency) is dead as there have been no updates since August.

Is there anything that can be done to remove it.  The problem is that Google will only remove the page once it is removed and if the site owner (of bitcointalk.org) asks for it to be removed through webmaster tools.

I think we need to remove this as it may be confusing some people.

Google

Google will, after many retries, remove a 404 page.  If you own a site you can submit a URL for removal under 'Google Webmaster tools -> Google Index -> Remove URL's(From cache & Index)'.

Increasing keyword ranking can take time.  Hence the quickest options is to ask bitcointalk.org to remove the dead thread and make a submission in Googl Webmaster tools. 

However, if this is not possible then as 'Historical' states you will have follow the traditional SEO practices.

Good advice. Burn it to a CD/DVD/Blu-ray as well and store that "offsite". I was going to include a "backup wallet" option in my next software release for Windows.
