Any way to check via the command line?  Didn't see anything in the header files.
USE: getinfo, and locate a line "expected time ...", notice the expected time is only an estimate.

There is no "expected time..." line in the getinfo output...

I think Joe meant to say use getmininginfo Wink

Thanks Spexx, should be getmininginfo --> "Expected PoS ..."

I got a i5 2500 @ ~4,5ghz. right now i am getting ~55khs/s, is that normal or is there a way to improve my rate?

Is that overclocked?

I would expect you to be able to get a bit more out of it than 55 Kh/s. What operating system do you have and what minerd are you using?

yes it's overclocked, iam on widows 8.1 and iam using your latest 64 bit miner. Would -e cpu_efficiency improve anything

No. The -e option is default 100 percent and can only be set to something less. I don't think that the version of source code that I used includes this option anyway. I have an external application that creates the same effect - the XMG Miner Speed Controller :-

This is a self-extracting zip file which will unzip to C:\XMGminer\MinerSpeed by default. When unzipped, run the Setup.bat file which creates a startup script and a Desktop icon for you.

EDIT: That overclocking looks extreme. Are you sure that the CPU is not "throttling" due to over-temperature? The miner pushes your CPU to the limit.

2nd EDIT: You might also try running multiple instances of minerd.exe with a single thread each, as opposed to a single instance of minerd.exe with multiple threads. There is a measurable difference.
How do i use one miner for each core, temps are around 60c°(with fans on slow it starts getting hot, but i got enough fans to cool it down) with fans on high thats not much.

Edit: Running the miner with all 4 cores gives me 65-70 khs/s right now. Could the drop be affected by a gpu miner for another coin?
Edit2: speed changed to like ~55khs/s without gpu running anything, so i guess it's no the gpus fault.
Edit3: How to use your miner speed controler? I unziped in ran setup.bat and opened the desktop link, thats it? My miner that was still running doped a view khs/s and is now below 50 khs/s
Edit4: I guess i found out why the hashrate was droping, i started my bitcoin wallet(wich is not up to date and is updating for days now) and that caused the drop, because the wallet used over 30% CPU speed. Closing the wallet gives me again 65 khs/s. the miner now uses around 97-98% cpu
Edit5: The Gpu miner has a low impact of 0-0,1% CPU use, minerd gets around 65-68khs/s is this still low?

I have same problem, my speed / CPU clock keeps dropping.
I played a lot with BIOS, nothing helps! It's 'cos of high temp that its throttling!
When I put PC on window shell so it has cold air flow its stable and temps lot lower

I got 4 120mm fans inside my pc and running them at ~1000rpm my cpu's temp is at stable 64C°. I get a warning if it gets over 70C° and if it does i can always increase the fan speed

The expected time is very coarse. It'll look very different between at the very beginning and after staking few hours. How many coins in your wallet, and how much time coins sitting in the wallet for staking? It's not necessary to keep the wallet open to get the rewards. Let's say we know expecting reward coming in tomorrow, you can just open it up by that time; but use cautious as PoS-II is very different from general PoS. You can always get PoS reward in a general PoS staking, but it depends for PoS-II.

If the difficulty rises that that will happen.

It goes up and down all the time, could be in an hour it drops down to 25.000 kh/s. There are a few big miners who from time to time join and leave. That's why there are some bigger differences in the difficulty and block reward.
