I didn't say you couldn't drive away some big miners - I said that you cannot convince people to mine slower. Either people will mine your coin as fast as they can, or they likely just won't mine it.
Lol... Really? Don't you see people are using Spexx's speed controller, or asking for "-e" option, do you? Either, we don't know if people really mine at full speed or not, or just go away, right? I said as fast as they can - people want to mine on VPSes, and they want to mine on the systems they're using, therefore, it makes sense. I should have clarified - people won't reduce speed for the express purpose of lowering nethash. Everyone thinks they don't matter - when collectively, they do. But, you're right, it's just a theory. You also said "they likely just won't mine it.", or likely mine it with a lower speed? You can't be so certain on the results especially when there are no apparent facts in support of that, for example, "people want to mine on VPSes, and they want to mine on the systems they're using, therefore, it makes sense." What about the cost, if one mines with high cost but can't get what he is desired, won't he just stay low? Surely people could just mine another coin with his full speed in order to maximize mining reward, but again that's just a guess. It's pretty much no point based on facts we don't know, but just guess. I don't expect everyone to lower speed, either. I do expect every generic miners run at full speed, and drive away the big miner, or make them lower the speed.

It seems the listaccounts command in the "debug window-- console" shows incorrect balances for several accounts under one wallet (the total balance is right). I checked the balance of one subaccount and it is different from the bchain.info balance.
Also I got several small mined transactions Net amount: +0.01 XMG Net amount: +0.001 XMG Are those from POS?
Also I saw the 5xmg showed in the "Stake" but none of my sub accounts having balance smaller than that. Will that mean if I keep the wallet open, I will get that by POS later ?
Thanks.

It's due to PoS which revises the transaction. Also I got several small mined transactions Net amount: +0.01 XMG Net amount: +0.001 XMG Are those from POS?
Did you see these from transaction details? Can you identify them in the transaction histroy? Also I saw the 5xmg showed in the "Stake" but none of my sub accounts having balance smaller than that. Will that mean if I keep the wallet open, I will get that by POS later ?
PoS splits coins; it's interesting that only 5XMG in stake?

Right now:
Net hash rate: 15,562.11 KH/s Pool hash rate on Magi@Nonce-Pool: 19,236.5 KH/s Wtf?
The net hashrate varies quite significantly as the difficulty adjustment is done every block. How did you check the hashrate? -- Net hash rate from getmininginfo? [at this time I checked about 50 Mh/s]. I am not sure if it's meaningful comparing Pool hash rate with the network hashrate, as they may be calculated in different way. I read it from the pool dashboard. I should a made a screen snapshot, but got busy.. At that same time the maxminers pool dashboard showed a pool rate of 2 MH/s something and the same net hashrate as nonce-pool. I hope it is the net hash rate that was showing wrong for a minute.

Fellow miners, get your thens and thans in order and help other forum readers understand what you are writing. Remember the grammar basics: B larger THAN A (comparator operator). If something THEN ....

It could vary a lot even within a minute if there happens a block minted, but 2 MH/s is definitely something wrong; I would expect 20 Mh/s is something which could happen. Most likely 2 Mh/s is calculated from the PoS difficulty, I would say. In any case, the network just goes well; you can check the wallet hashrate through "getmininginfo" (notice network hashrate is just an estimate, calculated from the adjusted difficulty).

Sadly with new miners and the hashrate up I have not found a block in days major wasted resources so until hashrate drops down I think I be turnign miners off for a few days.

Hashrate climbs and drops all day long, so you would have to monitor network hashrate 24/7. There are a few big miners who appear and disappear several times a day and cause this spikes. You are solo mining?

What's your hashpower? In the current situation you probably might want to consider joining a pool before you stop mining Magi?

Not enough hashpower? Just a heads up. There are several rigs available for rent at Mining Rig Rentals. Check M7M section.

The last 24h I nearly doubled my amount of XMG. Price moved between 5,000 and 6,000 satoshi, so you could (and still can) make some profit and as a side-effect, increase the trading volume on the exchanges. Please don't dump your coins, don't sell too cheap.

I heard the same over and over again about Bitcoin ASICs. But it didn't stop people buying them Why? Cause they believe in the coin and will get their profit (instead of instant ROI) when the price raises.

As told Magi added on www.whitepuma.net http://www.whitepuma.net/unidash/index.php?mode=logout&wasuuup=7d2d180c45c41870f36e747816456190It's easy: Example: 0) follow @whitepuma_net 1) login with twitter (facebook or Instagram) 2) get Magi walletaddress Deposit some coins. 3) if you want to tip somebody give this command in tweet: @whitepumatipbot give AMOUNT magis to @NAME and if you want a text. On the website they call Magi not XMG but magis. I asked them to change that so people don't get confused! Try it! Its really funny to do!
