@ Spexx @ joelao95 @ twatsTried all of these with same results: Spexx-Win64-generic-XMGminerd wolf-m7m-cpuminer-V2-x64-0204 sweet-spot-0.9.7 cpuminer_win64_magi_byMarcusDe-generic XMGpoolminerWin64.zip All was started with actual miner name + -o stratum+tcp://mine2.magi.nonce-pool.com:4090 -u Misiak.misiak -p misiak --quiet -t 8 And I tried 8 instances with -t 1 with same result. @ hefty turbo is of course enabled but I will try to disable power save mode (never had problems with it for other coins) You did not say if the minerd.exe loading was applied over all processors, or just restricted to a small number of cores. Take a look at your CPU usage graphs. I am beginning to wonder if your operating system is compromised in some way, maybe a rootkit-style malware infection that is hiding itself from Task Manager but using CPU resources. If you need assistance with malware detection and removal then hop over to http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/

A open source gui for mining magi, where you only need to input stuff an press run or the less you have to input the better.
Wot? For Windows? Been there, done that. Got some improvements in the pipeline too. The story thus far:- self-extracting .exe (extracts to C:\XMGminer by default) https://www.dropbox.com/s/uudj2npeyixesjb/Spexx-Win64-generic-XMGminerd.exe?dl=0Download, run, extract to default location, run Setup.bat. Works on 32 bit and 64 bit, any processor. Not too difficult and my improvements will make it even easier. I don't think that any other coin community has anything like it.

The moment people see a batchfile or cmd window they will lose interest, most of them at least. Only people with a fable for this stuff will really care about it. So how about changing that contest to something better. Why not making it a programming contest. A open source gui for mining magi, where you only need to input stuff an press run or the less you have to input the better. Prefering a gui where you only have to selekt stuff, like what pool, how many cores to use and so on. All the other stuff can happen in the background. You would get way more supporters for this coin as there are soooo few coins that have gui miners. After that you can care about marketing and getting it to the tech casual crowd.
Spexx's pack should be able to easy things out, once people take few minutes to follow / read instructions carefully; you only need to do it once. As to GUI, NeedIfFindIt's miner: http://xmg.makejar.com/ Also some one offered Simplicity long time ago, will need to adapt to new miners though: https://github.com/aceoyame/Simplicity-XMGProgramming contest won't work out in my view, guess only few people around who can do this task. But if we offer few BTC bounties, that's gonna a different talk. In a simple way, we offer bounties if one can contribute along that, and any other stuffs; just ask us, ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) here or PM, me, magic, jawitech.

Good luck to all participating in this contest.
If you need some ideas, what to make a video about:
For crypto newbies, it could be interesting to see how some tasks are done, like installing the wallet, setting up the miner, how to buy / sell coins and so on. Some educational videos are always helpful. I remember when I searched for videos on youtube when setting up my ASICs for the first time ^^
great ideas, educational movies are must for any coin to be on official website yet non coin have them i need to stop hashing with one machine and start instaling adobe mc on it ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) ill do that tommorow. See you guys its late here or early in the morning ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) That sounds nice. Everyone is welcome to give it a try, even screen shots of your mouse moving around, but must be on top of magi wallet if you really want to do that way. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) I propose some reward for each of participants even they are not the winner. Personally I'd prefer a video which can show the idea of magi, the PoW and PoS-II, thoughtful and helping disseminating the idea. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7EkAbPacS7c can be a reference, but I'd prefer a one better and professional. If one can make video very professional, he will surely deserve extra rewards. I'd personally make that happen.

Great community, think its time for Magi (XMG) to have a new nice and modern video. Magi is the coin of the future and a modern video would fit very good. So i would like to start a video contest. The task is simple: Create a modern video of the Magi (XMG). Use your imagination. It can be a handy video include how a starter can easily mine XMG or a promotional video. Minimum time duration of the video is 90 seconds. If we have enough participants we put an end-date for posting the video link here in the thread. Then I create a new topic with all the video links Everyone can vote for which video is best for the Coin of the Magi. Prize money at this moment: 1st 2000 XMG 2nd 1500 XMG 3rd 750 XMG Any questions just ask! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I'm starting to create my own movie! ![Kiss](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/kiss.gif)

I am talking about a program, thats easy to install, simple, easily updatable and it should somewhat look proffessional. Well yes you might need a bounty for this and i guess a BTC payment would somewhat help. I hope people don't think bad of me, because i am suggesting to much^^ Just trying to help ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Ask yourself. How would a big company handle this stuff and try to do it the same way as much as possible. I know you guys are on a budget, but i hope you give it your all ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) I wouldn't really suggest anything if i didn't like this coin.

Magi multipool is not a pool itself. It's a front-end that collects BTC generated by mining in popular pools and using this BTC to buy XMG on the exchanges. What pool are you mining at (waffle, nicehash or yaamp)? I'll have a look if there's a problem.
