Ideally we would all be mining with a Rasberry Pi and no one would be using more than one
We would all use way less energy and get decent rewards with less environmental impact.
It'll be fine with more than one; the point is that everyone is bound to similar machines (or more happy to use that over the other machines). What if power is free, which is very much the tremendous part of the project.

Two questions come to me : how do you know the consumption of your CPUs ? And what is this free Google Cloud ? It can be pretty interesting since it's could mine like my CPUs but 24 hours a day and freely ! I measured the current passing through the CPU before and after running the miner, say I(be) and I(af), respectively; also I measure the voltage too, which is V(be) and V(af); certainly, V(be) nearly equals V(af) which is about 110V in US. All measurements are done to obtain the RMS value; so Power(machine) = I(be) x V(be) Power(machine+miner) = I(af) x V(af) You can goog search Google cloud ( https://cloud.google.com/) and register, with $300 or two month free trial (need a credit card to register payment - no pay actually happens - make sure cancel it before funds is used up or free trial ends)

I meaned : physically how ? With a tool, a software ? If you use a software I could post my values here for my two CPUs .

I used a multimeter. p.s., like this one https://www.google.com/search?q=multimeter&rlz=1C1CHFX_enUS571US571&oq=multimeter&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l5.656j0j7&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=93&ie=UTF-8#q=multimeter&tbm=shopI am aware that people use power meter typically, but I like multimeter which is sensitive to me; like one knows what's going on inside a circuit.

Ok ! So that's not tonight that you will know how much an i5-3570k and an i7-4790k consume electricy !

Free VPN? I just ended my free trial of amazon web services (AWS.amazon.com). The only thing on it was cpuminer to mine magi. I posted the instructions to compile for linux somewhere on this thread. The free micro instance gets about 10 khash/sec. It isn't really worth it because they have something called cpu credits so after you mine for a few hours and use up your free credits it restricts your cpu usage and the hash falls to 1khash/sec.

HP had a similar (to Google) VPS, with 3 monthes of free try. I never tested it so I can't tell you if it's worth something or not but that could be cool if someone could do it !

I didn't try amazon yet, but with google cloud for some time (guess you used it too?); not with 100% but 80-90% CPU with the miner, which gives me 13-16kh/s (2 cores), I am running 4 instances (actually 55kh/s in total), so far no restriction from google (maybe running 100% CPU usage causes their attention, didn't risk that yet). So far, $187 (17 days used $113) or 43 days free trial remaining, ill stop before credit hits zero.

First new development will be the Magi android app! Other developments and improvements are in progress. More info about those will follow.

Not yet, to be frank, running into some personal stuffs; was involved with the coin stuffs initially (nearly >95% time & efforts), and now have to pay off personal stuffs; do have some ideas & plans but ill need some time. 111magic & all other people around are very good at pushing forward the things, and there're some news coming (to a certain extent individual might be at a trivial role).

Does anyone know anything about mining magi on a mac? I was just telling some new people about magi and realized that I didn't know if sweetspot miner worked on a mac. Is there a different miner that works on macs? We should probably work on making a guide for people that use apple.
