It might be my system, it's been acting odd lately, so I'm going to a wipe and reinstall of Linux later today or tomorrow.
My connection has dropped a few times today as well.

I'm connected to 7 peers, which still isn't massive - total network height is 289180, so I'm pretty sure I'm not on a forked chain

You could always add some more 1.4.6.2 nodes using the following link

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xmg/#!network

I had the same issue when I was running 1.4.6.1

Thanks

Think it was just my connection playing up. I restarted everything and left it for a few hours before starting the wallet.

I've now got 114 connections.

most mining is back to orphans again. The fox must be out.

We've disabled XMG again on zpool until this is fixed/stopped.

ZPOOL - the miners multipool! Support We pay 10 FLUX Parallel Assets (PA) directly to block rewards! Get paid more and faster. No PA fee's or waiting around for them, paid instantly on every block found!

V, I think it would be of some value if you explained the testing that you were doing. Were you attempting to see if the previous flaw was fixed, thereby exposing it? Do you have any code recommendations that came out of your testing? I encourage you to share your results and make recommendations for the good of the coin.

hearts and flowers,

At least PoS is working as usual. Grin I might switch 100% PoS(especially with the current price), so not too run into the PoW troubles.   Roll Eyes

by having "listen=1" in the "magi.conf" file and a good connection Wink

But I've disabled it at the moment due to the Idiot attacking the chain.

With Listen=0 your wallet will only get info from specified nodes. I'm only using Joe's node to try and stay off a split.

Thanks for the reply.  I have Joe's node and listen=0.  And only one connection in my wallet (Windows version, latest build )

Well said!

I think the chain survived the attack this time - PoS still seems to be working well - PoW seems to be lower, is the hash rate too high?

I noticed a lot of Proof of Stake blocks with 3xmg only, in block chain explorer. Is this normal?

Joe, please tell me what plans for the development of the project? what are you planning to do? what are the prospects? It's a pity, but at the moment the project does not look promising. Give at least some stimulus!

Yes. it's a function of the blockchain. after a string of large payouts the chain tries to lower the number of findable blocks by prioritising Staking over mining.

so it lowers the limit of staking from around 50/100xmg down to as little as 3xmg to help balance the chain. (ideally the block at the end should be made up of 75% staking rewards to 25% mining.).

Once it calms down the staking limit will rise again.
