Hey guys

We've made a few fixes, there will be more coming soon.
This build includes the latest checkpoints, fixed blocking while syncing, so it no longer freezes while syncing, fixed recent transactions and a few minor fixes.

Downloads:

Windows users can update using http://shadow.cash/downloads/shadow_1.2.0.1_win32_update.zip. Just extract shadow.exe to your existing shadow folder.

The Shadowcoin client seems not to work on win64? Correct me if I'm wrong. To be more specific the client freezes and does not finish the blockchain sync. The previous client seemed to work fine, but then this blockchain sync problem appeared, the update you have provided does not seem to solve the problem.

Would be thankful for your help.

Hey Edward

How far is your blockchain downloaded?
I've just uploaded a bootstrap file, which should include any missing blocks.

If you drop the bootstrap file in your App data directory, it should sync all missing blocks.

Thanks for a follow up. Will try to apply it now.

I see a lot of FUD coming from other coins in this thread.

Instead of fighting, lets support each other. Most of the top anon coins are completely open source (SDC, XMR and ANC). Copycats cannot be prevented. Instead of fighting with those who copy us why not diversify and buy a little of all the coins that are actually innovating.

I know lots of people who own SDC, XMR and ANC. Lets support each others innovations and ignore those who copy us (stealth address clones, ring signature clones and soon Zerocoin clones).  There is no point in fighting those who clone us. The market will reward the innovators in the long run.

I look forward to zk-snarks!

Thanks for the kind praises my friend! I've been mining ANC most of the year, so I've definitely been a supporter (still haven't sold any) xD I've always predicted that there would eventually be a few top coins that dominate the privacy space, each with a different approach to anon. It looks like that idea came sooner than I thought. At the end of the day we're all working towards the same goal: financial privacy for everyone.

We should get our projects together and create a privacy coin forum outside of Bitcointalk. I see an opportunity for our projects to develop a solid knowledge-base free of the mindless FUD, clones and insecurities of Bitcointalk; at the same time it would make it easier for cross coin collaborations.

See post #979 here – https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=745352.960  The person in the shadowcon “self moderated thread” (the easiest way to know if the coin is ‘shady and scamy’ is to simply check if it is a Self Moderated thread, so they can hide the truth) Quote” it is a QT based desktop wallet with a front HTML5 UI”  Clearly saying it is not a a html5 wallet.""

Qt is a C++ framework.. C++ is a compiled backend language.. HTML is an markup language used for frontend development alongside CSS and JavaScript. Our new cryptobroswer uses both development languages.

You cannot make people fool just showing them few progamming codes and formulas of mathematics. This coin has some serious flaws in code which is going nowhere but making the investots beggars.what beggars .. Please have mercy on people dont try to deceive them.

In a nutshell, what your basically saying is that if I write a Rails application in haml instead of erb, it's fake...

What can you possibly know about code when you know even know what HTML or a C++ framework is? Lulz. Keep it coming BTW Your shitandpisscoin (Stealthcoin) is using our code.

BTW who told you information on wikipedia is reliable ? Is this is your source then I am happy I escaped from such a progammed coin SDC. My luck I escaped.

So you're now arguing that the definition of Qt defined as a C++ framework on wikipedia is incorrect? Let me grab a water I can play with you all day.

Hey guys

There's a bootstrap file available @ http://shadow.cash/downloads/bootstrap.dat .
I will set up a cron job later this week to update it on a daily basis.

To use it, close your wallet and drop it in your Shadow directory
          a. Windows
                    i.    C:\Users\YourUserName\Appdata\Roaming\ShadowCoin (Vista and 7)

          b. OSX
                    i.    ~/Library/Application Support/ShadowCoin/

           c.  Linux
                    i.    ~/.shadowcoin/
Windows 8 ?

Windows 8 ?
8 is the same as seven. Literally, just a more annoying UI.

Pookie have courage to face the truth. You can not make your copy/paste SDC a legit by repeating the same things. People are very sharp to pick the truth.Don't try to be smart ass

Another ignorant statement... I love you man you should hang out more often, you're making my day that much better xD

Every single Shadow release have been 1st for crypto and originally authored:

SPV
Android
iOS
Stealth Addresses
Cryptobrowser

If your idea of copy/paste is copying logic from brain to code then yes Shadow is a copy/paste. However, the normal definition is copying paste from another project and pasting them it into a different project like what your shitandpisscoin XST did.

This is public awareness program. All the people should think twice before invest in......To not remain in Shadow . All the picture must be clear.

Wrong again. Yours is a public stupidity program. Nobody is going to take investment advice from someone who dropped out of middle school.

This is not fair just to take out your investment from this Shadowcoin's SDC project . You are continuously attempting to trap the new innocent people here in this imaginary coin. After all manner is something. Please don't play with sentiments of innocent and simple people.

What's not fair? Pioneering every new advancement in cryptocurrency: Mobile applications, Simplified Payment Verification, Mobile Encrypted Messages, Stealth Addresses and the fist ever HTML interface?

The only thing imaginary here is your claims of scamming. If innovating every aspect in the proof of stake space is a scam then what does that make a coin that copies the scam? Lulz. You keep typing and avoiding the fact that your shitandpisscoin (Stealthcoin) is using our code. If this coin is imaginary why is your dev using our code (Stealth Address and LevelDB)?
