Been doing some reading...So nodes have to be online for things to be listed? One cannot expect to leave their node offline? If it stays offline for 48 hours those messages get deleted that you received and you lose your offers? Does it differ mich from openbazaars p2p market other than being annonymous?
Marketplace wiil use the same protocol as shadow chat who don't losose your message if you stay offline more than 48h. I'm not a tech guy  and far to be an expert but I read shadow chat is share with all node (all node have all messages) but only people concerned by the message can read it.

Sounds like a valuable feature. If they seize/steal your computer they get 48 hours to crack the passwords.

What would be nice is to have some non-evaporating messages too for straight retail use.

Shadow Brothers I mentioned earlier I own a dispensary in Seattle Washington we are adopting CannabisCoin as well...just a heads up to my fellow Shadows Wink. It has the most real world use cases for my dispensery. Please do not invest in Pot coin or any other junk like that, as a dispensary owner I can confirm it has no real world use case.

Enjoy the tip my fellow brothers and feel free to follow my dispensery

LOL no I don't think so.. I think it is not useful for a marketplace feature. Because it is p2p i think that is why there is a time limit... otherwise you would be storing on the blockchain.

Yes that's true isn't it, if the receiving wallet is closed there is no place to store it other than the blockchain. I suppose there would be a way to do it on an IRC server.

edited- Or hey, maybe it could be stored in the transmitting wallet, and it could periodically query the receiving wallet to see if it is online and then send it.

On behalf of the Shadow community:

I respectfully request the Team give us an official update / progress report regarding the Isidor Zeuner peer review.
A great deal of time has passed without any official update here on BCT.

Thank You.

It should be located in ~/Library/Application Support/

In summary, the Intel Management Engine and its applications are a backdoor with total access to and control over the rest of the PC. The ME is a threat to freedom, security, and privacy, and the libreboot project strongly recommends avoiding it entirely. Since recent versions of it can’t be removed, this means avoiding all recent generations of Intel hardware. details https://libreboot.org/faq.html#intelme --- https://tehnoetic.com/laptops --- https://store.vikings.net/x200-ryf-certfied

With p2p you dont have bloat issues and you don't have the pesky fee scalability issue unless you charge a fee for listings etc. Openbazaar is free to list so doesn't have these issues. However nodes always must be running which is the drawback.. now the question is how useful is that vs a blockchain solution which will have bloat issues and fees need to be on par with kb/$ storage rates globally to be competitive and useful, however with blockchain you can track payments and nodes can be offline, and you can have a global marketplace of offers (consolidating all offers, or selected groups of offers) rather than only individual ones (I think with p2p you can only show the offers that YOU have in your wallet?). Maybe a SPV/pruned blockchain implementation might be best of both worlds...

Yes I agree, eventually the way blockchains are handled will need to be modified, for all coins. I foresee a system where different kinds of users will have different roles, and only the l33t will have the full blockchain. As it is now the full BTC blockchain takes days to load and no one but a crypto hobbyist or miner has the patience to do that, and it's hurting the coin.

The fee structure for the marketplace will be important. I don't think the marketplace or anything like it belongs on the blockchain, that's not the purpose of a blockchain. But having fees for listings distributed on the blockchain will make the rest of the users more tolerant of the pot and porn salesman, because they will be getting a piece of the action through their stake, and it will cut down on junk listings.
