Wallets and source code will be available 10 minutes before launch. However, because of a checkpointed block, mining will not be possible until exactly at launch time

I think he meant for solo, and in that case you still need to set your user and pass and possibly rpcallowip my default rpcport is 55883. I just use a default config for all coin launches, and if an addnode is needed, I add it manual.
