Thanks for the feedback, IMZ & Benefactor! -- Suggestion: the Un-Ex trades are starting to get numerous and when more TTs are verified and join, trading in this forum is going to get quickly confusing! We will need to move to a dedicated tracking system eventually. As a stop-gap measure to buy us a month or two, I propose we use a shared spreadsheet: Un-Ex Trade Tracker v.0.1 (no sign-in required to edit; not publicly listed - you need this link to access it) I've pre-filled a few examples from existing trades here so you can see how it works. This is proof-of-concept and is certainly not intended for long-term use, but is hopefully a step up from trades littered throughout the pages here. Yes, it's extremely simple with few formulas and spreadsheet trickery - it is *basic*. That's the point, for now! Proposed usage: - Post your offer on Un-Ex and note your post number (this post is #1020, for example)
- List the offer as a new line in the sheet.
- Set Status to Complete or Expired when trade is finished or cancelled.
- Only edit your own trades!
- Use a new line for each new offer, so if you post 6 different offers here on the Un-Ex, add the 6 new lines to the sheet.
- - If an interesting trade is found, just click the Post # and you should go straight to the offer (as long as the seller put the right post number in!).
Updating this sheet should take all of 10 secs and could be helpful to everyone. Bookmark the sheet and check it daily without needing to trawl through the thread, for example. Is this useful? A waste of time? Feedback and thoughtful modifications welcome, it's just an idea as we get busier. Cheers. |

Each post of the blog could be a verfiied trade and the pages could show the current market cap, members, etc... etc...
Bitcointalk offers an ok place to communicate but once thing reach a 'critical mass' we will surely need a formal space to move forward.

That's a good idea, Ian. My feeling is the timeframe for such a thing is what, 2 to 4 months from today? Whatever the timing may be, I was thinking about a spreadsheet in the meantime as a stop-gap measure. It may be that adding the few extra cells of data in that shared sheet is too onerous for each new trade offered OR it may be convenient enough to be useful. My thinking is that we are starting to need *something*, so in the absence of a developed page/blog with formalised exchange process, something like a shared spreadsheet may keep things in order... |

I think I've tweaked the system:
The Trade is posted on Un-Ex in the first place (in red).
Then the person who accepts goes to the spread sheet, and enters 'accepted' in the Notes section.
Thus each offer to trade is listed once here on Un-Ex, and all else follows on the trade-tracker.

Thanks Mark, I've updated it. Simple 3-step process:
1. SELLER posts offer Un-Ex then lists on spreadsheet in a new line
2. BUYER accepts in thread then updates spreadsheet Status & Buyer fields
3. SELLER sets Status to Complete or Expired when trade is done (or withdrawn).
I also added tickers (currently experimental!) for a few common things (UNO:USD, UNO 24h Volume, BTC:USD, EUR & AUD).
More to come when I get time and suggestions. Again, this is a stop-gap measure only. We're going to get the cryptomall up and running this year, so this will help in the meantime if everyone prefers it to just the Un-Ex thread. I'm not fussed but thought we could use *something* at least! Cheers.
