"if someone decides to depress price with a heavy sell wall, then that would be a good time to take action and allow the market ebb back to the up side.'

+1
I don't agree with this, but I'm not willing to get into the details as to why.  Basically, people shouldn't allow "sell walls" to affect their longer-term decisions, and sell wall manipulation is thereby neutralized for most all but the foolhardy.  Plus, you never know when a disingenuous sellwaller will get their hand bitten off by hungry buyers on the field of Unobtanium.

If a bearwhale sellwaller is actually genuine in wanting to sell, Core-tanium should definitely not be used so frivilously; this also avoids some deployment abuse.  The sellwaller could approach the In-House, or might otherwise just have to suffer poor liquidity, unfortunately.  Core-tanium is not for aiding weak or even irresponsible hands, we don't reward this, (but this IS where individuals in the community are free to step in to help them, should they choose to.)  Core-tanium is much bigger than this petty stuff.

It should only be used in a couple of scenarios, IMO.

1.  Price is really low.  Core-tanium can be deployed at either 20% below the current fair-market value, or it can be deployed 1-5% above the current fair-market value, depending on the situation and goals.  Again, I'll leave the details out on this one, at least at this time.

2.  A DUMP HAS JUST OCCURRED.  Core-tainium, at the approval of qualified voters, may be deployed to reiterate a healthier, higher price that was trading before the dump.

-

I also think, just opinion mind you, that Core-tanium deployment should have a public vote by qualified contributors to Core-tanium, and it's deployment, if approved, should be publicly announced very precisely, {Price, Quantity, Exchange,} preferrably 24 hours in advance.  The idea of Core-tanium is to stabilize the price.  It may be used to end a downtrend, before it gets most extreme (and people get hurt,) or best as it is losing negative momentum to shock paddle, "CLEEEAR!" a trend reversal.  It's fine if Core-tanium deployment does not result in it actually trading.  We encourage front-running on this one.  Smiley

The world's finest paddles are made with Core-tanium:

-

I DO want my petty 0.1 BTC worth of UNO on a voter-approved Core-tanium deployment order fill.  I'd rather have a little more control over a revolving contribution to Core-tanium.  It's a check-and-balance, etc.  On the other hand, it might be better for Unobtanium if Core-tanium is less flexible, so I'm willing to compromise on this.  I don't necessarily have any specific expectation for my little 0.1 BTC right now.

-

Don't forget, too, that many of us have stealth Core-tanium.  I did jest that I would buy up every ask under 0.009, afterall.

...And I did.   Cheesy

LOL, I'm there with you B. I've got various buy orders all over the place from 0.005 to 0.009. My hope is that they will never get the chance to fill! Although, part of me wishes I could snatch up some more cheap $UNO!

Yeh, Benefactor. Your position is clear and sound -- certainly a clearer 'springboard' for further discussion. But I bow to your logic on this.

Theoretical Note on 'Stealth Core-tanium':

Core-tanium are in no way intended to replace our personal trading -- 'stealth Coretainum'. Coretanium Uno will -- wild guess -- never constitute more than perhaps 10% of the Bitcoin (etc.) brought into play if Uno's price took a knock.

Recall that The Other Half of Core-tanium is the fiat funds pledged to fuel the liquidity engine.

Now imagine that you are a merchant (like Coaex). You are invited to Un-Ex to sell your Unobtanium. You think, 'Gee . . . small-cap coin. Low volume. Am I gonna suffer 'slippage' if I need to sell quantities of this coin?'

What you find on Un-Ex is a tightly-knit and well-funded bunch of crypto hoomernz who have considered the angles.

You need to sell Unobtanium? They have fiat waiting to buy it.

Will this coin hold its value? (Gee, in that case I might even keep some!) Well, these guys are HODLers themselves; they display an advanced knowledge of trading; and they got this 'Core-tanium' programme as a backup."

https://cryptap.us/uno/richlist/ .... check the number of 1kg accounts ... 2000 or more ... most of them seem to be mined in Oct 2013 when reward was 1.0kg/block .... either One miner did crazy mining (and it would take coding and owning a popular pool) or UNO really is FAIR and tons of it went to small time miners who haven't touched it thus far.

Also cool.

10,000 accounts holding 0.001 or more.
This is a great indicator.

Personally think we can get to 100,000 accounts holding 0.001 or more.
$1/gram is not so ridiculous a notion Smiley

I have 4 oz of Ag and a NXT wallet,  Looking forward to trading some DVC!

NXT ID:
NXT-8LGU-VQWR-H97R-EYV4N

public key:
17b4d08c75cab90357bd24998ceadae28d588b29eb2f4c128a26e2e57ed67b11

On coretanium:

The fact that it exists at all helps the sentiment in the market, and burning it up on sell walls was a poorly thought out idea. Better to have a funded wallet with a strategic action plan backed by an enthusiastic community.

D'uh! I only just added SgtMoth to the Trusted Traders List. He has done two trades of 'new Uno.'

http://indiamikezulu.com.au/454/list-of-trusted-traders

And I took Sabretooth off 'provisional status' for DVC issue -- he has two trades now, and has been around a while.

Will someone 'Second!,' please?

And we got SgtMoth's and Guyinanutshell's Verifications incoming!

Seconded.

On the Trade Tracker, check the Members tab to see traders and their number of successful trades (I haven't populated the DVC totals yet but the successful trades are automatically calculated whenever someone is part of a trade marked 'Complete'.

Woo hoo! Big Admin Morning this morning.

And check this, an article on the possibility of the Russian Ruble being backed by gold:

http://www.marketoracle.co.uk/Article49336.html

Maybe they will come to us for advice. We could explain the benefits of a distributed vault!

And This Morning's Tin-Foil-Hat Guy offering:

If this makes no sense to you, ask me. It's badbadbadbad!

I am beginning to feel relaxed about This Whole Project, B.C. I knew in the first place that it was theoretically rock-solid -- but as Yogi Berra said, 'In theory there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice there is.'

Went cruising quietly through a few coin communities this morning, following up on some insights I got here. It doesn't at all surprise me that Uno is doing so well! I see coiners talking endlessly about When The Price Will Skyrocket, coins with no real development programmes, coins where people are abusing each other.

's gonna be great year.

Getting the Wrinkles out of Verification

Something hand-drawn? Certainly from two angles -- much much harder to fake. (Kudos to cragv, who showed how necessary this little complication is.)

EDIT: With your Bitcointalk User Name visible in the background!

Having the name in the picture is a good idea, I feel like there needs to be some sort of time stamp in the picture as well, because I don't know if those pictures where taken today, or last month. So I'm calling you out IMZ, I see your bird, and I raise you a robot!

My thought on this is that I seen IMZ's bird and copied it, showing that my picture was taken after his was posted, then added a robot, so now once IMZ re-verifies with a robot, I'll know that he has just taken the picture, and all is good.  Furthermore, IMZ can add on yet another picture of his choosing to call out the next person.

EDIT: Obviously I'm not in charge, but I think carrying over some type of identifier from 1 persons photo to the next would help to some extent, or other ideas?

EDIT: looked like my link wasn't working anymore so I took more pictures.

Nice development to our Verification process!

'IMZ's bird' is our mascot. His/her full name is 'Unobtanium Dromaius Novaehollandiae Rothschildi Chick.' But 'Uno' to his/her friends/bringers-of-sultanas.
