Beta 3 stage is over. Right now there is no public beta.
We're about to release by the end of Feb.
The title of this thread is inaccurate, sorry. I can't edit that.

The process will be as simple as importing your SYS1 private key into the new SYS2 wallet.

So does this mean the process is not as simple as transferring the wallet.dat file, or will this achieve the same effect?

Scaling and transaction rate: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=532.msg6306#msg6306
Do not allow demand to exceed capacity. Do not allow mempools to forget transactions. Relay all transactions. Eventually confirm all transactions.

The private key is in your wallet, it's a fairly simple process and we will provide detailed instructions on how to import. The fork has not happened yet, so until it does, you don't need to do anything. We will first be releasing shade on a test-net so people can beta test the features and once that is complete, the fork will take place.

whats shade?

Shade is the name of the new release we are working on and have been working on for over 1.5 years. The decentralized marketplace will have a GUI (visual representation) built directly in the wallet, anyone will be able to buy and sell easily directly on the Syscoin blockchain!

How about some screen shots ?

Screenshots will come with the Beta launch, we first need to fine-tune a few things during Alpha Testing and then we will have a few "how-to's" which will include several screenshots. More to come!

I dont like that one exchange does all the trading, I hope one day people can move to decentralized exchanges such as bitshares and we can trade our altcoins on there, or perhaps with CLTV we can do ACCT with alt coins and trade that way trustlessly.

Can someone link me what to do if I wish to send my coins from the exchange to a local wallet? (I asking this cause I've read about private key SYS1 and SYS2 or something like that)

In summary, the Intel Management Engine and its applications are a backdoor with total access to and control over the rest of the PC. The ME is a threat to freedom, security, and privacy, and the libreboot project strongly recommends avoiding it entirely. Since recent versions of it can’t be removed, this means avoiding all recent generations of Intel hardware. details https://libreboot.org/faq.html#intelme --- https://tehnoetic.com/laptops --- https://store.vikings.net/x200-ryf-certfied

Hi XXX long time no see.
Basically you install the wallet (1.5.11) locally, synch up.
Go to your exchange (Bittrex? Polo??) go to your wallets page, send coin from that wallet to your local address.

Let me know where you need more detail or hop back into Slack and I can walk you through it.

ALSO - if you are worried about the switch from sys1 to sys2, most exchanges will be doing that automatically, so if you're not familiar with importing key or wallets its fairly safe to just keep your coins on a recognized exchange like Bittrex or Polo.
