Any chance we can get an installer like most other wallets? The current one is like a portable client.

When will there be a new ANN with new updates for the future?  Smiley btw I really love the platform I am planning on using it myself sometime in the near future to sell stuff, perhaps it's a good idea for the future to integrate logistics options on the platform as well.
Maybe but thats where plugins might be better

Also you might find what you're looking for here, which we try to keep up to date: http://syscoin.org/roadmap

Syscoin Core Version v0.12.99.0-771853d (64-Bit)
sorry is this the newest version, I only have one connection and marketplace doesnt show anything.

For some reason the seeders aren't returning many peers. I will investigate this weekend. In the interim I have updated the provided syscoin.conf with a TON of nodes. You can grab it here https://github.com/syscoin/syscoin2/releases/download/2.0/syscoin.conf.

As for marketplace- go to the tab, change the search limiter dropdown to 100, and then click search with a blank input. You'll see the last 100 publicly listed items. We're working on better browsing experiences - which is largely the function Blockmarket serves (upcoming open source product).

As for other questions, please refer to the FAQ for Syscoin 2.0 which we are adding to daily as questions from the community come in.

Any chance we can get an installer like most other wallets? The current one is like a portable client.

We did this with several earlier iterations of Syscoin 1.x and found it to be quite a headache for us and the community. Its good for coins that don't release updates or have no real future plans but with a coin like Syscoin which has very innovative features that we're constantly working to iterate on and improve (so... more releases) installers become a problem. People forget to uninstall, or uninstall improperly or skip versions, install directly on top of old install or use installers not intended for their environment and it causes more perception issues (Syscoin software doesn't work!) and support time than its worth.

Because of these issues we abandoned installers somewhere along Syscoin 1.x's development timeline. We're a small team and every minute really counts. Installing Syscoin using the portable zip is really quite simple. We'd rather spend our time developing new features that build value for the Syscoin community at a feature level rather than installers and the support time that comes with them.

If people on windows have trouble or questions on using the windows portable zips (now available for win32 and win64!) we're ready and waiting to assist in the Syscoin Slack channelSmiley

We're going the be starting a brand new thread for Syscoin 2.0 this weekend, backlinking to this thread as we did on the OP in regards to the thread that preceded this one.  The launch is just the beginning!

Doing some experiments with the marketplace, if I add a pegged to BTC offer I get the error:

Quote
Error creating new offer: "Could not find the currency BTC in the SYS_RATES alias!"

Looking at the SYS_RATES alias I see BTC listed there. I do notice however that the "rate" field is a string value, not a numeric value like the USD and SYS rate fields are. Is this an issue?

I would try to add syscoin.conf into the appdata\roaming folder.

Scroll down a bit to "RESSOURCES".
Thanks it is working now, a little bit complicated for beginners

Similar to a description field, anything you can write into it regarding your alias.

For those wanting to run under tor I have a syscoin onion server running on kqzpejdsmhktuwcw.onion. Adding this to your syscoin.conf will allow connecting to it if you are running tor:

Quote
addnode=kqzpejdsmhktuwcw.onion
onion=127.0.0.1:9050

There are various other options available.

Hello, I launched syscoin-qt on Linux (Mint, XFCE) with screen resolution 1366x768. The window is too big vertically and i cannot see buttons on the bottom. Shrinking is possible to certain size, but still bigger than 768 pixels.

yeah this is a known issue which we'll address in a better way in an upcoming release. In the interim there is a work around which we have in the FAQ on our website: http://syscoin.org/faqs/use-syscoin-wallet-low-resolution/ and the corresponding issue in GitHub so that we address this in a more user friendly way https://github.com/syscoin/syscoin2/issues/32  Smiley

And it is still getting lower. Probably these are by the ones who are trying to profit when they bought the coin at around 700-1000 sats.

Syscoin is required for most things Aliases and escrow to name a few in fact all but Direct BTC for which you need a dust amount. Please do your research
