To the contrary I think ppl are dumping their alts to get BTC as the alt prices haven't moved in line with BTC drop.  Accumulation period for BTC hoping to ride a wave up, most predict end of year or early 15 spike.  This is of course my opinion and my current strat.
Interesting... so you will sell for btc and sell on a pump to go back in fiat then hope btc comes back around to buy again and then buy your alt again?

Sounds like alot of variables to increase exposure..

Negative.  I am dumping a few alts (not SYS ATM as I have a plan when market opens) for BTC and holding them in offline wallets. If it rises back to $500-$600 range again then I will split 1/2 reinvest in alt of the month and cash out 1/2.  If this strat works, I've done nothing but gained. I will end up with roughly the same amount in fiat that I had in BTC holdings and have the same amount of fiat to invest in alts.

Just another update since I know 0.1.5 RC3 is due today, we are still on this last issue. Seems like something we should be able to address and still make RC3 available today.

We are revamping our entire test process since things are scaling on many fronts very rapidly- we will be moving to a test process akin to that of an enterprise software development company. This means integration tests, strict rules about unit tests, automated functional tests, etc. This is not a simple process nor am I aware of many other altcoins that exercise a process like this- if you know of one that we can use as a reference it would be very much appreciated. Short of another "altcoin" which leverages these professional processes we will be mirroring and adapting these processes from our own experience in enterprise software development (tools like Hudson/Jenkins, Maven, Any one of a number of unit testing tools, AFT tools for QT we'll need to research but something like protractor/Jasmine/Selenium for web AFT, etc). We do some unit testing of course at present, but this is a move to an entirely different scale of testing and test automation.

If you are someone who has experience in standing up this type of environment around a crypto-client or QT client, we'd love to chat with you- shoot me a PM or email.

when syscoin launched...they stubbed their toe some and worked hard and got it right.
Because of that Moolah made them jump through hoops,held back their money and acted like their coders could "help" the syscoin team if they needed it.

Mintpal has been down since oct 1 when they started their V2 update and guess what?, it's taken longer than they thought, they have a migration error that effecting like 7,000 users and they admit they don't know why!
Word of advice Moolah.....before you act all high and mighty....take care of your own stuff.
The syscoin guys could probably give you a hand except you held them hostage for their money for problems much smaller than the crap you've caused.

Soon as I can get back to my account, free fee or not.....I'm pulling out.
Hell with you guys.

So quiet.... price dropping on Bittrex... come on devs throw us a bone!  Cool

https://twitter.com/syscoin/status/517613479667441665

Oh we're busy as hell - https://github.com/syscoin/syscoin/graphs/punch-card and that is just ONE of our 4+ repositories! We just are trying to make sure stuff is stable before we publish any news sorry for the delay!

Is it possible to change Syscoin Chain ID to enable SYS merge mining with other coins?

in main.cpp (lines 2624-2626) it is declared

Code:
int GetOurChainID() {
return 0x0001;
}

but ChainID=1 interferes with other AUX PoW coins, like UnitedScryptCoin and GreenCoin and disables SYS merge mining together with this coins.

Is there a way to change SYS's ChainID for merge mining?
No there are few rare coins using this id...this cant be changed without major hassle

Yeah as @sidhujag mentioned we chose the ChainID=1 that was used by the fewest coins (and because part of SYS code is inherited from USC). So while you can't MM SYS with GreenCoin or USC, you can mine it with practically any other Scrypt coin. We don't have plans to change this at present unless there is a community push to enable merge-mine of USC and Greencoin Wink

Imo price is dropping because ppl are dumping to get out of BTC. BTC ain't doing too good right now.... just my speculation tho.

I am buying like a crazy.  And you are right about price dropping reason.

Thanks everyone for the support- we have been working away at this like crazy but we are not satisfied with the level of testing applied to the current solution. While everything in the 0.1.5 RC3 development candidate seems fine we need to test it more before we release it. To be clear the previous issue that caused the postponement with encrypted wallets has been resolved sufficiently, the issue we're addressing now is different.

Development Update

We'll be delaying the RC3 release for up to 72hrs in order to complete testing on the current candidate code- we do apologize for the delay!

I've also gone ahead and updated the post on our blog with this information as well. We expect to release this sooner than 72hrs.

They ran into problems with the migration, it's not uncommon and it doesn't detract from the way they've run the exchange up to this point; nor does it foretell the way they will run it moving forward. I'm staying loyal to Mintpal. Let the anti-Moolah brigade jump ship Wink

Yes I agree this person will regret, but to call them stupid is not nice. They said personal reasons, and this might be unavoidable.

I've said before I see no other coins coming close to this coin but maybe ETH, but they are not a coin. NXT and supernet might be only thing that comes close, but still from things I'm seeing they are a second best option.

Looking at tech, dedication, funding, communication with community, testing and retesting bugs, making sure to release best product they can, this coin is the best. They added (don't quote me) but I believe over 40% more coding to this coin, which is far from a clone coin.

This is a product, meant to be used, and in crypto 2.0 is the best i've seen. If someone can find a better coin then show me, but this one is extremely undervalued and under appreciated at this point.

If NXT can make it in top 10, this coin can surpass NXT easy. Maybe I also don't fully understand supernet either, but not sure how all these coins sharing tech is going to make all them rise in value? Each would just be a copy of the other, and most likely NXT would be best coin rising in value.

The way I'm seeing it, is cryptos 1.0 have winners, BTC, LTC, and DOGE. Cryptos 2.0 Will clearly also have winners, and Syscoin have no doubts will be at top of that list.

It is ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING coming on this thread and seeing what manbot continues to post here!!

You're invested in this coin and THIS is how you treat this community?!  If I was not already invested in Sys from the start, this would be enough to make me think twice about investing at all........makes it much worse to see other community members encouraging this type of behavior and CHILDISH postings.

Unbelievable ANYBODY thinks this is cute or acceptable, it does NOTHING but harm this coin and project........gives an absolute HORRIBLE image to others checking out this coin!!

As an investor and community member, I am asking that this be dealt with and stopped!

It will probably do no good at all on this forum, but I am going to report this to the mods.......I would HOPE others will do the same to protect all of our investments in Sys!
