Update 9/5:

"Business on the Blockchain"

version 0.1.4c
Network Statistics / Graphs / Nodes

Join the IRC Channel #syscoin on freenode. You can join the using the webclient
If you are an exchange or pool operator, join #syspools and identify yourself. We will discuss technical implications of all updates there prior to releasing binaries for everyone. Please register your details on http://www.syscoin.org/affiliate

Innovation at it's best, Syscoin isn't just another crypto currency- it is also a value-added service and financial infrastructure integrated directly into its blockchain - something like this has never been done before! Syscoin is a crypto-currency and a financial infrastructure all in one!

Syscoin ensures the health of it's network with the ability to be merge-mined with any other SCRYPT coin. Syscoin provides a variety of useful decentralized, cryptographically-secured services based on Bitcoin's Blockchain technology.

How Syscoin Works:

Proof-of-work algorithm: SCRYPT (merge mineable with any SCRYPT coin)
Multipool protection: SysCoin uses KGW to retarget difficulty every block. SysCoin uses extremely small minimum and maximum values as algorithmic inputs, which effectively allows Syscoin's difficulty to re-target much more rapidly and accurately than other cryptocurrencies that use KGW.
Block reward (updated): 128 SysCoin and regenerated network services fees (block reward decays on fixed schedule until rewards fixate at 32 Syscoin until 2bil coin, after which rewards are purely network and service fees).
Total SysCoins: 2,000,000,000 (2.0 billion)
Premine: 18% [ up to 15% Based on Presale (SOLD OUT), 2% Devs (wallets will be publicized for transparency), 1% Bounties and Rewards (wallets publicized for transparency)]
Premine Wallet Address (currently contains dev + bounties; been paying out of bounties): http://sys.coinzone.info/a/SahJ3am7kd

Service Fees:
Fees are an important part of the Syscoin network since they enable the existence of Syscoin and all of it's innovative services.
Syscoin directly recycles transaction fees by regenerating them and redistributing them to network miners. The regeneration of service fees is the key incentive for miners to continue to mine Syscoin once all base coins are mined, and thus enable and guarantee its services into the future.

Reward Schedule:

We are in discussion with a few parties / business', if for example you wanted to add items to it you can go right ahead and do that. Marketplaces are been worked on, an example of a prototype is here http://188.226.131.93/app/#/ you can go right ahead and add items to see a working example,

I have my own business of which im just getting round to adding to the marketplace, in the form of digital serials for games, dlc for xbox live etc. You can also take a look at the commands that can be used within the wallet itself via the console https://github.com/syscoin/syscoin/blob/master/COMMANDS.md

Let say i want to sell game keys, for starter maybe 5 or 10, can you illustrate the step by step process until the transaction complete? the 100Sys fee, is it per category or per each item (key) or quantity? any other requirement for larger quantity?

thanks

I'm a software developer (.net and SQL) and I have happily invested quite a bit in this coin.
I can tell you all with certainty that when an experienced development team gets excited about things that are being planned and things that are coming online shortly, you listen to them and believe in their effort!
They know what is going to be released, they know the potential. This is going to be great.

Keep it up guys!

So....  I figure maybe I'll flip a few miners over to SYS...  I start looking at pools.

SYS only pools, for the most part EMPTY!!

OK, merged mining pools..  correct me if I'm wrong, I can mine LTC and it mines SYS also.  But it sells the SYS for LTC and I get paid in LTC?  or someother coin, but I can't merge mine LTC/SYS and get SYS?
Or do I have to put my SYS address in the mining string?
I have to admit, the FAQs on these mining sites SUCK!!!

With the huge DIFF/Hashrate how do you mine this coin?

Merged mining allows you to mine both LTC and SYS at the same time. You get both LTC and SYS banked to your wallet.

But I have to admit the FAQs really do suck man!!!! it took me a while to figure it out. I use give-me-coins.com. There is a small menu bar at the top right of the page. One with LTC FTC VTC and PPC. Click on LTC to select SYS as your secondary (merged) coin. Then go to account-settings to set up your SYS wallet. Do the same for your LTC wallet.

Now if you want to view your stats for either LTC or SYS you chose the little icon on the top right to select your coin.

I recommend mining at one of the myriad scrypt p2pools if there's a node near you. You can mine SYS directly to your wallet along w/ MYR, DOGE, TCO, LTS, PTS and ULTC. http://myriad.p2pool.geek.nz/merge

Sure.

Right, this is done off a mac so the menus etc may look a little different but everything else is the same. I'll apologise if i seem to be talking to much or talking obvious, this is how i think it should be pushed out to a general audience.

So going on the principal that you wish to add a game serial onto the marketplace, i will show you how to put up an XBOX Live Monthly Subscription Serial (this is live and available for anyone btw). So, starting with the basics, bring up your wallet.

1. Once open, bring up the debug window.

2. Once loaded, goto Console.

3. This command to add the initial item onto the marketplace, To explain this command we use offernew and the information shown in the screenshot is shown in order of < category > < offertitle > < quantity > < price > < offerdescription >

3.1. The command will then give you the transaction information regarding the item you have just added (above)

4. We now need to actually activate the item on the marketplace / blockchain, we will now input the transaction information from above to do this. You will need the rand (first line and the txid (secondline) this is taken from the response / return you initially got when adding the item to the marketplace. Note: In the screenshot i am using both the rand and the txid this is because i closed my wallet, if you did not you only need to use the rand.

5. Once submitted, it will then be listed and fee taken for doing so.

6. You can now check the marketplace by running the offerinfo command and using the rand id to show the information about the item.

7. Now lets look at this from a customer perspective, id goto the console, use the offerinfo command using the specific rand for that item, i would know the quantity available and the price of the item, as well as any other information (description etc) - So, i want this item what i would have to do is specify this using an offeraccept command which falls in the format of ' offer accept rand 1" this says i want to purchase 1 xbox live subscription code, as shown the below using the full command.

8. You (the customer) is now presented with the unique transaction information for this sale, so now we will pay for it using this information and the offerpay command - Im using the pay txid i was given on the previous step, you may also notice within the brackets extra information i wish to give to the seller, in this case im telling him i want the serial to be emailed to me.

9. The seller will be able to see the transaction thats just happend within there wallet or by running the 'offerinfo rand' command, as a role play instance if i checked my wallet i would see the sale in my wallet, id then check the offer info and match up the transaction information as shown in the screenshot and i will then simply send the xbox live code to the buyers email address as requested.

So that shows how to list, view and sell an item on the Syscoin marketplace - of course this all could and can be made a simpler process using a UI / Web interface of which are been developed this is just the barebones example. A full list of the commands used can be found via the Syscoin Github, have a play - https://github.com/syscoin/syscoin/blob/master/COMMANDS.md

man..what happened here? :\

nothing, just some FUDers, conspiracy theory people, and somebody who thinks this thread is an exchange.

^^ This. Sorry for the mess we'll have someone fulltime to manage this stuff ASAP. I do have a dayjob + higher priority Syscoin imperatives.

What?Huh You still have a day job and only treat the development of syscoin as a part time job when you have free time??

Even when you got 1500BTC(Of course I know you have not received all of them till now), and syscoin is in such a tough situation?!

Are you guys respecting syscoin seriously?

Are you guys respesting us investors seriously?

I don't want to see my concern to be deleted in this thread.

I want your direct explaination.

You did misunderstand, he never said dayjob was more priorty, he said he has a dayjob (as would be expected cause as in real world people need to pay bills) + syscoin stuff that is high priorty. I believe he was saying it takes away time from doing syscoin stuff babysitting this thread from Fudders and trolls.

As much as I'm glad danosphere does, I agree we need someone to do this throughout the day so the team can work on development and marketing.

One more point here, is people in cryptos tend to get very impatient fast. Please relax guys, if you see team working, good business plan in place and working toward goals, there is no reason to freak out. This is not like 99% of the coins, in which you want a pump to get some $$$ out of it. This is the long game, long vision here with this coin. Tons of extra code and features, and once things are ready to market I really believe this team will be doing so.

This coin has lot to offer, and extremely undervalued. Right now whales run cryptos and coin prices, but this will change once real coins like syscoin take the front stage and offer something of value. This I believe from talking to team is the goal. Be patient a little and watch things unfold.

cryptodaknight,

I agree with what you say, only thing is if they take too long people will lose interest, and also other coins will take the spotlight doing many of the same things as Syscoin is doing if it takes too long.

I really happy with the turnaround, and kept/keep buying as low as I could/can, and I hold a bunch now, and I am telling my clients to do so as well. I think it's a great investment, as long as we can keep the wins coming. I wouldn't be invested if I didn't have faith that they will continue to deliver!!

This price is so ridiculously low right now. There are a few coins out there that I look at like free money, and this is one of them. I hear people complaining about losing money, I get it. I know it's hard. But there are some serious no brainers out there right now. This is the time to pick up multiple different coins, that will have 10x 20x gains if they do wel,l and 2x to 5x if they disappoint.
That's just how undervalued some coins are right now.

Syscoin is one of them , if not the most undervalued coin right now. People selling at these prices clearly have absolutely have no business investing in crypto. I mean god bless them, they are going to need it. LOL

Here is the link to my trust settings here on forum. This trust system is very unfair. I make good on every deal Ive ever made. I had many, many deals as you can see and I never scammed anyone. All it takes is a random account to give you negative trust and youre screwed. Tomatocage has never even talked to me ever but when the random acct hit me with negative trust, Tomatocage came right behind him and marked neg trust again so obviously he was the one who did it. You can look at Tomatocage trust and see how many of his compeditors at the currency exchange thread he labeled scammers. I never scammed anyone. My trust was green over 20 before this. I hope it never happens to you because the mods cant help you.

Whatever the problem is here, you couldn't be more off.

This is buy time and hold time. Bagholder? Bagholder is someone that wishes he could sell. I would hope people are smart enough to know that this is not the time to sell lol.

You can't be trolling to get the price down. The price is low as can be for a coin of this caliber!!! HELLO?? LMFAO!!! Weird , just weird

I am sorry Dano that you have to deal with all these FUD.. I like to let you know that there are believer like me out there.

Smiley

Thanks! I just hope real investors (like yourself) see these ppl for what they are- just look at the accounts of these users posting this garbage. Some people created accounts to do nothing but post FUD in this thread and that is the entirety of their history here on BCT. I'm trying to spend just enough time here to keep this clean and informative; we definitely will be hiring a CM to be watching this more carefully so when I'm busy with other things (managing the teams higher priorities and making sure they are executed on properly) for a few hours it doesn't spiral out of control.

Also, we'll be migrating all major news updates to our upcoming blog and that will be tied into all kinds of channels like FB, Twitter, RSS and more so there will be better dissemination of real Syscoin news. Will still be here on BCT but the primary will become the blog.

Dano - As a 10 BTC investor I knew this would be longer term given all the circumstances. I believe in you and the team, and see this as a good investment. Once I stopped checking the price every minute it was a lot easier. Keep up the good work.

Loyal investors are most likely a little more mature and reasonable with their posts, so don't produce as much noise as FUDDERS.. But we are here:)

+1

I have invested 5 BTC into SYS, I see it as a new bench mark setter. It has had its share of hiccups, but once all this has been streamlined, the community will have an amazing coin, with features that are great. Still buying in now at this ridiculous prices! Going to chuck another 1 BTC at it. I will come back in a couple of months and I can only imagine what price we will have then! Still aiming for a top 10 market cap Smiley

Keep up the work Devs!

Cheers,
Chris

Why is the latest wallet showing it is infected with "Artemis!BC436F27E946" virus??

I am used to seeing false positives with bitcoin miner blah blah blah, but this one looks funny!

Wanted to upgrade to latest c version as my current wallet corrupts the database and needs to resync every time I shut it down and restart it, but not comfortable seeing this showing up!
