I think you'd be throwing out the baby with the bath water if you severed ties with Moolah tbh. Give them a chance to turn it around.

There's a lot of Moolah haters out there... If you take care to read that reddit post you'll find that OPs issue is with Mintpal's management prior to the Moolah takeover.....

I think Syscoin needs to distance itself from Mintpal/Moolah as much as possible. Mintpal/Moolah is a shit-show, they appear to be incredibly incompetent and that incompetence is beginning to really screw over and piss off traders. One example of many: http://www.reddit.com/r/dogecoin/comments/2is99c/for_public_recordmy_legal_notice_letter_to/

Moolah certainly gave us time to address issues and we don't plan on throwing the baby out with the bath water at all just cause they had some issues too. Also we absolutely need the remainder of our funding they are holding. Remember Moolah runs much more than just an exchange, this is just the high-visibility launch having issues right now (we've been there), they are still a huge player in the crypto space and that is very valuable.

Syscoin is an entirely independent crypto team- we are not owned nor controlled by any outside entities, and we are constantly working on partnership with more players inside (and outside) the crypto space.

Dispelling some rumors:
- We are not Moolah.
- We were not bought by Moolah.
- We are not using Moolah devs, we have our own team.
- We do not have "only 1 dev".
- We do not have 1500btc [yet].
- We are not sailing boats.

Confirming facts:
- We are working hard as fck
- We are committed to the long term vision around Syscoin which we have communicated several times
- We are working on numerous parallel efforts all related to Syscoin, some which we have no disclosed (gotta keep some things as a surprise)
- All the presale rewards have SHIPPED. Royal Mail is slow.

Syscoin: Business on the Blockchain. - Buy and sell goods and services, send encrypted messages and more all secured by the blockchain.

I will say this.

I WISH I was on a boat. Unfortunately I'm on my macbook pro, which is getting so hot from constant use that I'm getting a rash on my palms from the laptop's heat and all the typing I do.

Not nearly as fun as a boat.

Dano....the problem is I tried moving a couple small test withdrawals....one, a small amount of BtC that made it.
The other was 250,000 of Karma.....not really a huge vale....after the  confirmation email ( regular procedure) it's status is "failed" - "canceled" but my 250K of Karma is gone from my balance. That was 3 days ago.
I'm not the only one this has happened to.

So, yes.... I have a healthy 6 figures of Syscoin sitting there that's from buying with Btc and mining with proceeds from other coins,
I'm scared to try to move it out to my wallet. Its like 60% of my holdings.

Thanks for mentioning to them, support is only sending out robo- answers to tickets.

If it helps you any, I just did a test transfer of 10.00000000 SYS from MintPal to my local wallet (version 0.1.5 RC2) which was succesful in less than 10 minutes. I then withdrew 6 figures from MintPal to the same local wallet. I had no issues whatsoever and it did not take long to accomplish. Currently, the time and date is 02:55:00 A.M. on 11 October, 2014 Easter United States Time Zone.

That's good news, think I should move up to the latest wallet RC? I was waiting until they get the final done.
I'm going to try to start moving it out today.
I'll say one thing , with all the problems you got stones, moving 6 figures out.

I would suggest you use the same wallet version I am using, to minimize the number of possible things that could arise. I would also suggest you make a small withdrawal first, then be sure it arrives in your local wallet prior to making a large or full withdrawal. Then, make a backup of your local wallet to a USB storage device or burn it to a CD - 6 figures is quite a bit to lose.

I am using wallet 0.1.5 RC2 on one of my computers and I am using 0.1.4c on all of my other computers. I can say that both of those versions are safe to move coins on a 64 bit Windows PC that has an 8 core AMD CPU.

The reason I suggest you move your funds as soon as your test withdrawal works - while MintPal is still tidying up their new digs, who knows if wallets may go down for maintenance or if they have to take the server(s) down for an extended period. If you have your coins in your possession, you can put them to work on another exchange or know that they are not stuck until MintPal is fully back in order. Also, at any time, the next wallet version could be made available and it will be an unknown variable at first. Get your loot and backup the wallet before MP has any significant issues and before updating to the next wallet.

Good luck to you.

Already moved over to Bittrex, purchased and withdrew over  100,000 Sys so far. Arrived in 1.4C no problem.

I have 3 small Karma coin tests since wed, the first went awol, transaction failed- canceled and coins missing.
second yesterday....says complete with id number, not received so far in the wallet.

another small karma test this morning went same route as the first.   transaction error failed canceled and the coin is missing from balance.

These bastards!

oh and they finally answered my support ticket from wed with ...."its being referred to the transition team"

I'm at a loss.

stayed on 1.4C and managed a successful withdrawal of 10 Syscoin.

Crossed fingers, going for 100,000.

Edit: Just came in!

going to try my balance

Edit:

YAY, my syscoin is home!

Still can't figure why the Karma won't withdraw, its only a couple dollars worth.
just relieved that my Syscoin is out of that cluster****.
It was worth way more than the Karma that's stuck there.

Somewhat off topic, but related in a general way - see http://blog.moolah.io/
 Specifically,

"Urgent Withdrawals

If you need to make an urgent withdrawal while the site is still down, please email hi@moolah.io with as much information as possible relating to the withdrawal. You will need to email from the address associated with your account."

Guys I did that withdrawal email back on wed....it wasn't answered until today and told me the failed withdrawal would be referred to the transition team. I tried checking tweets, their blog,(several days behind) and google searches trying to get info,

Thanks for the suggestions but I've been there, done that and have the Tshirt.
They are NOT an exchange you want to use, I promise.
This isn't my first rodeo but I sure got a lesson on this one.

I'm one of the lucky ones. Some poor folks lost their accounts and balances.

I sure don't think someone sold sys for 253  over there either.

This relaunch is a total disgrace, thats for sure. However, so far no one has lost anything. Coins not showing up in the balance and not in the wallet is not happening the first time, that happened to me at bittrex too for example. And I got my coins back in the end. They are probably being flooded with support tickets and it takes them a long time to answer. Fwiw I made five or six withdrawals (sys, btc and others) and everything was fine, a little slower than before (45mins), but fine.

I personally hope they get this sorted, but the damage might already be too big.

I personally feel buy support will come once the shock settles from all the moolah happenings. Right now everyone is confused, trying to move this here or there and everyone has a different priority. The syscoin team has promptly addressed any FUD and anyone's who is patient will see the future is bright. Wink

Thankyou for the comments, i agree with the fact people are a bit confused but i dont think that's just based on the recent happenings.

Bitcoin itself i think is a bit reason why the markets are in tatters (the majority of) and obviously other coins, people are quick to dump / get out of any of there holdings when Bitcoin goes up as they assume this downtrend is forever.

I agree with your thoughts as well. I tend to summarize too much. When I said different priorities. But yes many things are at play but again. Syscoin has a bright future  Wink
