no worries I am doing it with 3334 and it fired up

 I will look later
Thanks. Actually I'm wondering if it's nothing to do with me and it's the VPS provider's DDoS protection... they can get it wrong and unfortunately that provider gives very little useful information to say what's going on Undecided

well back to playing the lottery... 1x S4 and 6x S3+ .. gonna run em for a little while and hope for luck!

I wonder... is it more or less pointless to run an S3 @ 500 gh/s here? My chances are probably better just to run the S4 alone with 2 TH/s or am I thinking incorrectly?

Just not having any luck... seems the solo VPS provider is having issues now, probably unrelated to the previous DDoS attacks. DE is still humming along okay.
The solo VPS went down completely now. You will have to be using the DE server until such time as it's back online. Sorry about any inconvenience.
Solo is back online. Turns out it's not such a bad thing having multiple servers to fail over to Smiley Mine on!

Well it ran over night.  It was fixed order and should not go dead yet it did.  The difference with this one using the 3334 port was after it went dead it came back. The other 2 with the 3333 port when they went dead they were cancelled.

Thanks Phil. Given the massive connectivity issues the VPS provider had today I'd say it was just related to that for now. The setup for the de pool is basically identical to that of solo so there shouldn't be any significant difference in their behaviour otherwise.

You should be yes. I'm still looking for feedback regarding various rentals. Should that fail, 3334 is the next best thing.

I was on MRR on the 3333 port and I was getting about half the advertised hash rate. Trying the 3334 port now.

Yeah I still dunno wtf that is. MRR will have to try and fix it.

The 3334 port is working much better!!!

Use that then Wink That's why I have it there, though I'd prefer there to be one port to rule them all for other reasons.

Looks like the US site is off-line.  Miners switched to the DE site.

My miners are showing online (except the tube) it's just the stats & site I can't hit.

Stats server and gateway is offline - investigating with the provider. Anyone that's already connected will still be mining, which is one of the things I was trying to do to protect against the main mining part of the pool going down during attacks - and this is it in action.

All five machines working on US, despite the stats not being available. Doesn't look like they've failed over to DE any time recently.

I agree...CK da man...  Cool

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

Recruited another front end while the other VPS is dead so solo front end/stats is back up.

This may have been an issue with the gateway server I was using after all. With the new one I set up it may well be okay now on port 3333. I've noticed the hashrate jump up since I put up a new gateway VPS and I suspect that is all MRR rentals actually going to the right place now?

It certainly has been a busy few days here...

All is back up and "normal," which is a very relative term in this household.  Cool
