That is an awesome job ck.
I'm sure it'll be ok if you are adding more fees to it, personally....i'd be fine in giving you more than current fee when i found a block....just an opinion.
Regards.
Thanks. I've considered this numerous times but there's something quite nice and personal with the user chosen donations once a block is found that feels quite rare in today's bitcoin mining world and I'd almost hate to give that up.

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

Why so few blocks lately? Has the recent difficulty increases really made this much difference?

I notice there's 935TH mining at the moment.

well that is about 1/800 of the whole network   so every 800 blocks should be solo  which is every 5.5 days.

our little stick pool is about 1/100 of  this so our chance  is about 1 block every 550 days.

Hopefully we crack more blocks, this difficulty is going insane now. The network has almost doubled since November.

And we are looking at a difficulty increase to roughly 111B now.

Dec 31 2015   103,880,340,815   11.16%   743,604,444 GH/s
Nov 11 2015   65,848,255,180   5.77%   471,360,171 GH/s

Yes you've summed it up well. God only knows what the diff will be in 550 days time required by the stick pool club Undecided.

Yep that'll be a nightmare for most people still mining either with their own gear or using rentals. In the UK its been cheaper to rent than mine at home for a while now especially if you factor in hardware costs.

Thinking about it though I wonder whether diff will actually drop when halving happens as people and non profitable mines shut their equipment down? I bet there'll be an influx of second hand gear hitting the market just before and around halving thats for sure.

I suppose all this will depend on BTC price at the time.

De pool is fine as far as I can see, with no sign of any problems though there's no port 3334 any more nor is there any need for one.

Thanks you Smiley. Chinese dont often do things wrong Undecided.

So what do China know that we dont? Is BTC set for big price explosion?

Have no fear!!  I just brought an old BFL jalapeno sprinkled with Gypsy water online and pointed it exclusively at this pool!!  It cost me $400 bucks but the Gypsy lady swore it would and it came with a 100% money back guarantee so I figured what the heck!!  She told me to run it for 7 days straight and that if no block is hit within that time I can call her pager and she'll make arrangements for me to give it back in return for my cash!

I wonder just how long it will take the pool to adjust my worker's difficulty down to a low enough level to actually land that magical share now Smiley
