So I am taking that as a yes that coinbase.com wallet address are safe for solo.ckpool.org? Or to be really sure, anyone solo mined with a coinbase.com wallet address that hit a solo block from solo.ckpool.org want to verify that they received their coins and nail this once and for all?

Do you guys not have computers at all? Anyone mining should have their own wallet. Period. Not some rent-a-wallet from some online supplier that can just take your coins and claim "Oops, dey got stoleded. Srry!". Run Multi-bit and it takes about 8 mb of space. Run Bitcoin core if you have space and bandwidth to run a full node, then use Armory for a secure wallet. It's not rocket science.

I understand where your mind is at, but that is not the point, everyone has their own choices, what people are trying to determine is if in fact coinbase.com accepts generation transactions or not and I was asking if anyone that used a coinbase.com wallet that found a solo block received their BTC to prove that statement or not. Knowledge is always good.

I didn't ask, is it wise to use coinbase.com wallet...

The implication was there. You trust someone else to hold your coins and you're just asking for another Mt. Gox scandal.

Solo mining is alive and profitable!
Helped? Thanks! 1CXRFh4bDVFBsUzoHMMDbTMPcBP14RUTus

Are we any clearer on whether coinbase accepts generated coins or not .. i use coinbase and I mine here (never hit a block to date) but always assumed coinbase was a safe bet on that front ....

And for the record I would immediately move coins from coinbase in the event that I solved a block.. but for ease of use and to be able to receive email notifications on transactions I like coinbase and buy coins from there regularly and have never had a problem

while you can make the core wallet very secure.. i believe for the most part an online wallet is more secure then most people.. meaning they usually force 2fa from authy, and they have sms text withdrawl. core wallet doesnt do that, and lots of people choose stupid passw0rds, or not backing up in case of hardware failure..

so i do think that an online wallet is probably better for a regular person.. (read that i lost 21 bitcoins thread in general)

now i would NEVER hold my coins in an exchange.. those use hot wallets and your coins are pooled up.. not kept private.

id use blockchain.info.. and id use a pregenerated address.. meaning i generated the keys from somewhere OFFLINE.. you can use a program or a wallet from a computer that is NOT ONLINE.. then import it into blockchain.info manually.

this will let you use online security.. but at the same time the key was never ONLINE so nobody can hack it. plus if for whatever reason blockchain.info goes down, you can import that key into another client and still have access to coins.

Blockchain.info works just fine with generation transactions; I used to use it with p2pool all the time.

That's good to hear thanks.

Any Bitcoin wallet is essentially only a JSON file with your private and public keys.  Back these up on paper or a USB key.

i solved a couple blocks using my blockchain.info wallet.  No issues at all, the coins were reflected in the balance instantly, long before they confirmed.  I brought my own keys to blockchain.   You can do the same thing with electrum - use your own keys when you create the wallet.  There are no electrum generated keys for my wallet, it uses mine only.  So i have online wallet at blockcHain, electrum, and i run a node at home, all using the same keys.   There's no danger of loosing access to my wallet.  I put the blockchain data in my dropbox and all my wallets can access the same file, simultaneously if needed.  I have the same wallet on every computer, laptop, and phone.

when i was first looking at solo pools, i got lucky and hit two litecoin blocks when I started mining there and was temporarily using an exchange address.  I contacted their support several times with the transaction info, but never received my 50 litecoins.    The exchange was cryptsy, so Ill never see them.

Separately-

I cant make heads nor tails of this gibberish that comes up as my stats now.  I think it was alot better when it was just one line.  How do i find my overall best share?  Does everyone stats look like this?

i solved a couple blocks using my blockchain.info wallet.

I cant make heads nor tails of this gibberish that comes up as my stats now.  I think it was alot better when it was just one line.  How do i find my overall best share?  Does everyone stats look like this?

There are some online converters you can use. The first one Mr. Google reported works fine: http://konklone.io/json/

If you cut and paste the JSON (gibberish) you get a table you can import with excel.

You have to use the worker link look-up, not the user link.  The user link returns all stats for every worker associated with said address.
e.g.
http://solo.ckpool.org/users/1PwftnJ5FhMhTb9dAY61oD2KE8VPvh9Qkt returns what you posted above (use the CODE tag for walls of text!):
Code:

The user summary is all valid JSON that can be parsed by any compatible parser, and having all the workers listed is helpful for a summary of when you have lots. You can still search by distinct worker if you only want one worker's summary. Having said that, I made it so that the order of the entries for the user are still first before any worker entries are listed, so if you are looking yourself rather than using a parser, you can just look at the start of that summary.

I cant make heads nor tails of this gibberish that comes up as my stats now.  I think it was alot better when it was just one line.  How do i find my overall best share?  Does everyone stats look like this?

Thank you guys.  All this time i didn't know that data was JSON format.  I was very annoyed trying to read it.   A little embarrassed, but I am glad I asked.  There's alot to learn to get a mining degree.

Dear users 4everBTC, Biffa and scottlawry, you are all trying to use regular usernames on this pool which will not work. You MUST use a bitcoin address as your username.

I take it this is still happening?

Yes it is, and in addition there are also now users mineruS7 and b0411d0427f9 being repeatedly denied access.
