Hi all, can anyone help me out?
0: BXM 0 : |3.879G / 3.647Gh/s WU:52.6/m 1: BXM 0 : |3.357G / 4.124Gh/s WU:61.4/m
[2016-01-14 20:22:54] Pool 0 difficulty changed to 1000
You have less than 10GH and are mining at diff 1000. Shares will come very very infrequently. Eventually the pool will adjust your diff down to something suitable for your hardware when it sees a few shares from you. Alternatively you can choose your diff with the --suggest-diff command. Given your total hashrate a diff of about 5 will do so you can add to your config. That's working fine now -ck, also using de.ckpool.org:3333 If i may ask you.... or anyone else out there, if I were to add my U3 (or any other miner for that fact), would i need to adjust the "suggest-diff" : value? I.E if i were to go up from the current ~7.2Gh/s to lets say 68Gh/s, how much would i need to increase from 5 or decrease from 5? Is there a formula? How proportional is suggest value in relation to 1K Diff? Sorry if it seems a dumb question but i would like to understand. Also, can I “uncomment” or “comment out” lines in a the configuration file, in order to add my own notes and help me navigate around code? And if so, how is it done? Do i just drop the speech marks? Thank you again.

If you're planning on changing your hashrate by plugging and unplugging hardware, just forget setting diff and let the pool choose it for you slowly over time.

I wouldn't bother with the suggest diff as it really doesn't matter. Your miner will find a few 1k diff shares eventually and adjust down automatically. And if it finds a share meeting or exceeding current difficulty you will have found a block anyway. To comment out a line in your .bat file just put a "rem" at the beginning. That means remark and you can put your explanation text after the rem. Edit: I don't know about the .conf or configuration file. I only use .bat or .cmd files and put all my commands in them and use the rem statement allot.

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text. Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing? A: Top-posting. Q: What is the most annoying thing on usenet and in e-mail?

Thanks os2sam, i will have a play around, i guess speech marks make a difference. I will maybe start a thread on the topic and see if i can get a definitive answer. I don't want to go too O/T. It would be nice to see members blocks being solved and posted here rather than me waffling on

Another Network Difficulty increase It was at 103G, now an extra 10G was added on to make it 113G Network Difficulty, I wonder what Bitcoin Block Reward Halving will bring come June this year.

Probably the same as it did last time ... not much. Last time difficulty rose for the last couple of weeks as everyone tried to mine the last few 50BTC blocks and then it gradually dropped over about a couple of months. The value of BTC didn't show any correlation with either the difficulty or the halving of the block, moving independently of each of them. Then we returned to difficulty paralleling BTC value in its delayed fashion the way it always has. I'm expecting much the same this time.

Everyone is mining for themselves. The block that everyone is trying to find, is the same as the one the rest of the network is looking for. Unless f2pool is running a chain

Unless f2pool is running a chain What can I say that is what everyone is doing I'll tell you what, I rented around 70TH for 4 hours and never bettered upon my best share. Now today (a few days later) I have rented around 5-10TH for 24Hrs and have hit a best share higher then I have ever. One day "Hopefully" my best share value will be over the amount required to find a BTC Block It's all about the Luck/Chance mate

I only just now noticed that the pool reports new bestever share to the mining software in the live view. Nice touch. Thanks.

You're welcome I wondered when someone would notice the new easter eggs. Of course with so many miners mining with hardware that doesn't have a cgminer console visible they will never see it.

It takes me seconds to seamlessly replace bitcoind with whatever I want whenever I want without affecting mining on solo, so whatever turns out to be the majority I can switch before it becomes a problem.
