Anybody notice that the site's loading times have been longer and longer?
Upwards of 30 seconds to timing out completely for me :c

Sometimes, rarely, the load averages on the server are greater than 100%. This usually only happens for periods of about 15-20 minutes during some peak times, typically when north america wakes up, and then again when russia wakes up. If load averages continue to climb we'll consider adding more resources to the VPS but right now, we're not breaking even on ad revenue vs. satoshi output so any other costs make it even more difficult to keep the site running, let alone add bigger and better prizes.

EDIT: I checked a few times over the past 15 minutes all the site always loaded, between 5 - 10 seconds.

It took me less than 3 seconds just now, but I did notice it yesterday only happened a few times.
Must have been peak traffic, happens at most sites I visit.

It's been discussed before; when autoscratch is on, it's a convenience for the user, but the faucet loses ad revenue. Right now, ad revenue is basically in the toilet, so if we were to make auto-scratch permanent, we'd have to lower prizes and payouts, guaranteed. Maybe in the future we could implement something like that if we see a bigger uptick on advertisers.

Many of my tickets are disappearing. Pages fail to load and then I am told the ticket has already been paid to me, but in fact it has not. Why are the pages hanging so often? Why am I losing so many tickets this way? This is the only faucet I use which persistently deprives me of payouts, and it used to be a good faucet. It means that you took too long to claim the ticket and we mark old tickets as abandoned due to some folks using old tickets to cheat. Sorry, we're looking at VPS performance and the only thing that we can come up with doing is reducing the rate at which people can play tickets, at least until advertising revenue improves. Therefore, effective immediately, we are increasing the minimum payout to 600 satoshis, but reducing plays to once per hour. Hopefully this will show an improvement in VPS performance without having to spend more money on resourcing and reduce prize levels.

Correct, we've switched to 1 play per 60 minutes temporarily to see if this improves server performance and while waiting for ad revenue to improve.

Although you did not respond to my post, you have replied to others of a similar nature. I do notice that the pages are loading properly now, and I am no longer losing my winning tickets. Appreciate that. Here is my question. While I was experiencing troubles with the pages loading, and my winning tickets subsequently getting ripped off or given away to somebody else who didn't even do the fingerwork to get it, I was trying everything I could to get the pages to load properly. I tried saying yes to Autoscratch as well as no, but it didn't seem to make any difference. Does it?

I want you to know I lost at least 1/4 of my winning tickets in the past week. Not compensating people who have used your site properly and gotten burned is kinda sleazy.

Well, we actually preferred to address the underlying problem rather than throw a bandaid solution at it every few days. If you provide the wallet you were playing from, we can see exactly how many tickets you played and which ones weren't paid out to you and why.
