I am trying to improve the codebase by stripping to core and then moving to an upgraded one, you can check my progress in Discord. Also, I made some compilation changes so it compiles with newest libboost https://github.com/hclivess/OpalCoin

I changed the repository to OpaLite https://github.com/hclivess/OpaLiteHowever, I am experiencing some difficulties with the networking protocol compatibility and could use help from a seasoned altcoin developer. I successfully reconstructed genesis block after upgrading the hashing algo in HyperStake, which is the codebase I chose to use, I also changed the address prefix and the pchMessageStart. However, when I start the node and add peers, it crashes on ProcessMessages(ping, 0 bytes) : Exception 'CDataStream::read() : end of data: iostream error' caught, normally caused by a message being shorter than its stated length ProcessMessage(ping, 0 bytes) FAILED received block 000000e5fc3108481db1 ERROR: CheckBlock() : coinbase timestamp is too early ERROR: ProcessBlock() : CheckBlock FAILED INFO: Waiting 1523786911 sec which is too long. As soon as you add peers it crashes right? I think it is a peer error. Is this a Testnet? I noticed Class C IP Addresses. Also check the Clocks are up to date. I sold all my Opal long ago. Good Luck reviving!

bootstrapping doesnt work either are you the CryptoNick from Bitconnect? No, that's not me. I saw some problems with staking before I sold off. Not sure if these problems are affecting your new work. I would stake for a day and then the stakes would stop even though I was good weight and should have had a few stakes for sure. Then I would resync a week later. There would be items in the TX with Question marks next to them, seemed like I was staking but not getting the coin. It was the only reason I sold. Couldn't stake...

For me sometimes hard to english, but give the trust opal to go places, only fewer coins is serious like the opal. Maybe marketcap its not showing for opal yet but for honest opinion this belong to top coins with good futures.

People can join only one signature campaign, for twitter and facebook you are able to join as much as you can. So that's why the rewards allocation is much higher there

I had around 100K coins. Should have staked constantly. If you are testing on the live network it will give errors and not connect to peers. That could be what you are seeing with the errors.

I see this is a very up and down and if someone start to buy and sell this coin he must make a better life with his altcoin trading.

The concept of your project does sound good, I’ll have to check it out.
The concept is good, but the project misses a team to work on it.

Looking good investment in projects, I hope to see higher prices of OPAL soon enough to speed up investment returns.
