I have had my suspicions for weeks now but today confirmed.
Today confirmed? Could you please make it more clear what suspicions are they and how you confirm them? Well look at the price swings. Bitcoin is rallying and most altcoins are falling back but for some reason foldingcoin goes up 50%. In the past when bitcoin has rallyed FLDC price has stayed at the 100 sat range. The same seems to be happening to Curecoin I noticed. In my opinion steady growth over long periods is always better. |

Is the loyalty program still a thing? If not i suggest an announcement be made in the upcoming daily meeting. If it is when will payments start? It has been on hold since august of 2015.

Our aim is to do it automatic once we have the stats fully running. We'll discuss it at the meeting again. |

Looks like Folding@Home is getting some updates for the Nvidia driver issues: https://folding.stanford.edu/home/release-new-core-21-v-0-0-18-with-support-for-nvidia-drivers-375-57/Release: New core 21 v.0.0.18 with support for Nvidia drivers 375.57+, January 30, 2017 by thynell We are pleased to announce the release of core 21 v0.0.18 to full FAH. The updated core will be pushed out automatically for both windows and linux donors over the next week as projects are updated to require this min-core-version. This release contains a workaround for a change made in the NVIDIA OpenCL driver introduced in drivers starting with 375.57, as well as some improvements to error handling codes. While a slight reduction in performance may be observed, this performance regression should be eliminated when NVIDIA removes the hotfix in forthcoming driver updates. There is a known issue that this release will, for some projects, print sporadic messages to the log due to a known visualizer bug: 05:34:52:WARNING:FS01:Size of positions 64914 does not match topology 19 This issue does not affect the quality of the science, and a workaround is already in testing for v0.0.19, which we hope to release in a week. The January FLDC payout went out in the evening on Saturday Feb 4th (First Saturday of each month). There's also a countdown timer on the website for the next distribution.

 FLDC, along with EGC, got mentioned in a bitcoin meetup in the Netherlands on the 9th of this month. A friend of mine shared this picture with me and I thought I would share it here for the FLDC community. The topic of the presentation was the negative impacts of cryptocurrency in regards to, what some would consider, wasteful use of electricity. FLDC was mentioned as one of the projects trying to better this. I was honored to see EGC mentioned alongside FLDC. Keep up the great work FLDC! |
