Yes, of course. To receive a reward Folding how many points I need? If your setup is correct, any Folding points you earn will earn some FLDC. FoldingCoin distributions are monthly, on the first Saturday after the end of the month. CureCoin is distributed daily. Using the FoldingBrowser on Windows is the easiest way for new users to get setup with Folding@Home, to earn both FoldingCoin and CureCoin. Please see the main website for the FoldingBrowser download link: http://foldingcoin.net/For other setup info, check out the tutorials page: http://foldingcoin.net/resources/video-tutorials/

Any amount of Folding@Home points will earn FLDC. To find out how much FLDC you have earned for a day, you can use this: http://foldingcoin.xyz/?token=FLDC&total=250000&start=2017-04-21&end=2017-04-22Where you adjust the date ranges in the web link for a day, press the 'Show Stats' button, and Find (Ctrl+F) your Bitcoin address at the top for daily Folding@Home points and at the bottom for daily FLDC. --- There is a separate limited time promotion to receive the FOLDERPEPE card. You can get a FOLDERPEPE each month you: 1. Fold 100k Folding@Home points with a FoldingCoin compatible username 2. Post your Folding username in the FoldingCoin Slack #folderpepe channel Please see the the announcement for details, if you're interested: http://foldingcoin.net/2016/11/folderpepe-dedicated-folder-special-rewards-announcement/

This coin is just shy of a Ponzi scheme and only functions due to the altruism of others. The coin has no real value, the devs have no intention of ever having their own anything (wallets are 3rd party, devs send payments 4th party, and it all requires the purchase and spending of BTC while hoping for low fee transactions to get picked up by some random Bitcoin pool), and part of me can't wait for the day when it all finally implodes.

The distribution method and all-in-one installer required a lot of work and we are working on additional features. Our team has been working on this token for over two years now and were able to attract many extra folders to the Folding@home network of Stanford. Only this already has a lot of value. I don't see how you can accuse us of running a Ponzi scheme. :S Remember that we are all volunteers here.

Our team has been working on this token for over two years now and were able to attract many extra folders to the Folding@home network of Stanford. Only this already has a lot of value. FLDC isn't actually part of, or technically involved in, F@H (this is why the "all-in-one installer" doesn't actually include any of the F@H files). So any mention of F@H is ancillary at best, deceptive at worst. The entire platform that FLDC uses is out of the hands of the hands of the "devs" and there is zero inclination of any FLDC platform that doesn't use Counterparty and Bitcoin. Monthly payments (which are sent out via a 4th party app - Tokenly[or is that a 5th, I lose count]) have been previously delayed because a dev was moving and had not yet set up his personal computer at his new home. So, aside from mastering the use of 3rd, 4th, and 5th party platforms and software, what exactly has your "team"* been doing for "over two years"? *Edit: Seems to me that Jeff is the only one that actually does anything; and even at, that he's just making a "stand alone" browser add-on that simplifies using a bunch of different websites, downloads multiple 3rd party apps, and stores a settings file.

Not really going to continue this discussion much longer, but bitcoin also relies upon many third party pools (edit: I meant tools here) and applications to be useful in the end. Looking at your post history, I see you're a loyal member of the Curecoin community and I can understand that you're venting because you guys got removed from Poloniex. I can understand that it might seem unjust to you that you guys, that have a strong history and things like your own blockchain, got removed while we stayed. In the sense of volunteers we have many people contributing in small ways, but next to that you should not underestimate the effort of Robert in managing, Helene is social media, Jeff in things like the all-in-one installer and our new lead dev Miguel. In short, I hope Curecoin recovers from this delisting, but do not turn your frustration toward other projects that you think deserve a place on Poloniex less. Stay positive

Stay positive Oh you poor, delusional sap. I have zero loyalty to CureCoin or Polo. CureCoin isn't much less of a dumpcoin than FLDC is, so what exchange it's on is meaningless as long as some fool is willing to buy it. That being said.... I find it funny that you accept that Bitcoin "relies upon many third party pools" but fail to grasp that, at best, FLDC uses 2 more parties on top of bitcoin just to get to use bitcoin! The only thing funnier than that is you pointing out that the person in charge of "social media" for FLDC is someone who thinks that every GPU minable coin (except FLDC) is, in her words, a "shitcoin".

Let's stay civil. I meant tools instead of pools, btw.
Anyway, I'm not really going deeper into this, but let's say I differ in opinion.

Either way, FLDC requires no less than 2 layers on top of bitcoin ( and the layers of bitcoin) to be functional. ...but let's say I differ in opinion.
That's because you're looking at it through the eyes of a loyalist with an altruistic heart, not someone who wants to see the crypto-space serve a functional purpose in mainstream society or as someone that thinks that there should be a furtherance of use to a coin beyond dumping it for BTC. Absent an altruistic base, there's nothing holding up the house of cards that is known as FLDC.

This coin is "payment" for participating in https://folding.stanford.edu/It's not "mined" or "staked" like other coins.
