This coin is "payment" for participating in https://folding.stanford.edu/It's not "mined" or "staked" like other coins. Thanks for helping out

Thanks for helping out Just because I despise the fact that the coin is going nowhere doesn't mean that I will not help when/where I can. It is possible to be part of something and strongly disagree with the direction it is/isn't going in.

If you have to ask "why?", you wouldn`t understand my answer. Always be on the look out, because you never know when you'll be stalked by hit-men that eat nothing but cream cheese....

Would be nice to get some feedback and input on better directions you see.

Been there, done that (and in slack too). The result was essentially being told that nothing will ever change because "it works now" and "there's no reason to reinvent the wheel".

Perhaps better to raise it during a meeting then. I'm not on slack that much, but will be at meeting.

It's very hard to setup a wallet....
What exactly? In case of using a counterwallet for example you don't need to setup anything, just enter to wallet and you will see your address.

What exactly? In case of using a counterwallet for example you don't need to setup anything, just enter to wallet and you will see your address. I also find it very hard to know what is going on. If I, with a Phd, find it confusing you can be sure that lots of other people do. Plus, for every 1 person who actually bothers to post about this there are probably many more who don't bother. There are also other issues with the project that make it hard to be involved in. I have been mining for a month, have received no money, have no idea what allocations of coin I earned, what type of coin it is, where it is going, if my wallet details are correct, what happens if they are not etc. I don't even know where to start. I am probably going to stop using it (not in a huff or anything ) as the effort to reward ratio is too high. I really shouldn't need to come on a forum to try to understand basic things about a software I am using (assuming that people want it to be adopted)

Since these are open source projects without marketing budgets, we rely on people coming to us, instead of us bringing the message to them. I am quite interested which problems you found out. It sounds like you would have appreciated some more explanation when installing the all-in-one installer? How did you find out about the coin?

Was the FLDC prize already paid?
They usually go out somewhere between 6pm UTC on the 1st Saturday of the month and the end of the week after that. Devs like to blame late payments on the BTC mempool; so, with 81+ MB in unconfirmed BTC tx, we might get payments for April sometime before September.

Haha if you have been around for a while you would know that full blocks are due to massive microtx and dust spam instigated by some shady elements of crypto society during major uptrends. It happened November, 2015, June and August, 2016 and is apparently happening again. I'm sure mempool will be naturally cleaned till the end of the current activation period.

I've been around long enough to see devs delay payments for nearly a week (last month and the month before, if memory serves) and not even try to push until the mempool was under 10k, so 70-90k doesn't provide much hope.

Well, they finally pushed the payments, relatively "on time", but..... I've tried to make an FLDC transfer 4 different times and every time I get a pop-up message telling me I don't have enough BTC to make the transfer. This wouldn't be an issue, except for the fact that EVERY time I've deposited the amount of BTC "required", it changes to .0004 more than the last amount (i.e., 0.00113619, 0.00153619, 0.00153619,etc). Yeah, Counterparty rocks.

MAY MONTHLY MEETING Yesterday we had the May monthly meeting. Miguel, the lead dev shows his agile development plan and we discuss some other things. With the recent price pump and dumps we discussed being more open and transparent about what we're working on, so the trading of our coin does not get too speculative. You can see the vid here:
