Hello everyone,
i need your help.
My solarcoin wallet is corrupted.
I try to extract the keys.
Can anyone tell me how i can convert a hex public key from my wallet.dat to a solarcoin address, in order to find the positive amount adress.
Thanks
What's the wallet reporting? Thanks corather the reporting is that wallet.dat is corrupted, and can't be recovered That usually means the database is corrupted. You should make a backup of your wallet.dat (hopefully you have a few copies backed up already), then delete everything except the wallet.dat!!! in the Solarcoin application data folder, on windows 7/8 hit the windows jewel and type %appdata%solarcoin. On Windows 10 it may be the same, I don't have much experience with it, and apple machines I can't help. The wallet is probably fine, but it can't parse properly because of the older database. my wallet became corrupted after, i shut down my computer with the on/off button, while solarcoin application was runing. The computer wasn't responding, so i shut down it . My problem is not a problem of database or folder or parsing. My wallet.dat is really corrupted, and i make no backup or copy of it.

I think that i have the public and the private keys in my wallet.dat when i open it in a hex editor. I can find over one hundred and fifty couple of private key/public key in hex form. I want to inject thes keys in a new wallet.dat. But it will take hours of work. So if i could just inject the positives sold couple of private key/public key , i will gain a lot of time.
The problem is that i d'ont know the adress with positive sold because they are in hex form.
I need an application like hashpubkey for bitcoin , which work for solarcoin

I precise that my wallet.dat was working with version 1.5 of solarcoinwallet, so my wallet.dat is not encrypted like the newest version

You didn't encrypt that one? Fortunate, you may have a chance of recovery. I wish I could help you, I just don't know enough about the technical aspects.

There are services that help you recover coins but they charge a fee. If you hit a dead end.

Would the existence of a solarcoin persuade you to invest in that rooftop array?
Not on its own, but then its not the only value stream that comes from a solar array; you obviously get your power to use as you wish, and the grid pays you for your exported power, and you probably get some government incentive, and you get a warm fuzzy feeling from not wreaking havoc on the planet. When I bought my solar PV system, the decision was very much a risk based excercise, Solarcoin just serves to reduce that risk as an additional support mechanism. As the price of SLR increases then the amount of risk it offsets in that decision process becomes larger.

have you tried -repairwallet -rescan? I had this happen with a different wallet and -repairwallet worked. You put it in the startup line. Try that it is non destructive. Or use a backup wallet and go forward from there.

http://www.walletrecoveryservices.com/I used these guys when I couldn't get my ethereum password to work. They solved the problem in 5 minutes and charged a 20% fee. Could be a good last option. They have excellent reviews. I had put an extra space bar in the password.

Im loving it! I have a feeling this ride will be a lot more intense than 2013. And 2013 was insaaaannne haha. Edit: I advise everyone to buy a few random coins that are worth jack sh*t. Just for fun. If we see the same kind of action as in 2013 there might be some good coins to buy right now... Example: PPC, NXT, NMC etc.... Just buy a few for fun. I think you wont regret it

I assume you have a relatively new wallet? When you first start staking it takes all of the coins at once and then puts them in staking... If you leave it for a few weeks it eventually spits up into several small transactions... So you just have to be patient. If you want to be able to spend them all at all time you need to disable staking and leave it that way untill your coins go back to the spendable section It will probably take like 1000 confirmations but im no expert :p

The price action to .25 back to .17 overnight is volatile as hell. Looks like a base forming at .20. Man I think when bitcoin halves we will be in the .5 range.
My seatbelt is buckled but I think I'm getting wiplash!!!!!

Don't worry - that is because of the same person manipulating the market constantly on Bittrex trying to increase his stash of Solarcoins. Once we get to Poloniex and maybe other exchanges the price will be more stable. It's easy for him now, but soon he will no longer be able to cause panic... By the way as I was writing this post, the price dropped to 0.00029 and then almost instantly went to 0.000315 - his game is simple and this person behavior has not changed even slightly. We will get there - just don't be afraid by a couple of waves in the sea
