The good thing is that there are a total of 32 million coins in circulation and based on the people in this forum who are long term investors, we count for at least 15% of that total. That too will greatly increase the total value of the solarcoin once it hits mass effect assuming no one panic sells too soon that is. What kind of price are you guys holding out for? Or are you planning to stay invested in Solarcoin? I am personally looking to sell half my stake when they reach approximately 20-30 and sit on the rest.

I currently have no plans at all. I might consider selling just a few around the $1 mark, but mostly my biggest concern is the overall effect I could have on the market. If/when I sell, it'll only be in very small chunks to make sure the market price is unaffected. Even at $20 per coin, I plan to stay invested in this project. Also, I would really like to see this coin become mainstream to the point where you can sell in USD rather than BTC. I really think SLR has improved significantly on BTC, and don't really care to trade in any of my SLR for BTC. Have you guys seen that bitcoin sell-wall on bitstamp at the 350 mark? It's crazy! Not as steep today as it was a couple days ago. But that kind of market manipulation is what I aim to avoid.

I just hope they understand the dangers of dumping the coins and take a sensible approach and sell on a semi long term basis.

My family and I have a little over a million and will not be selling. Cold storage locked away until at least the $2 mark. I must have been competing with a few of you in the high 200's. It will be a lot of fun reading this forum in a few years time. I figure around 40% of the total coins will not be sold until the $1 mark so we should be okay for large dumps.

I am in the same boat: - no plans right now to sell any solarcoins at any specific price - would not sell a large amount if it would hurt the cause in any way I believe the long term holders in this forum to be holding south of of 33% of the coins in circulation I read that there was a 26,000 BTC dump a couple of days ago that caused the recent drop. It looks like the price is coming back. While I believe the price of BTC will rise significantly from where it is right now, thus taking the current value of solarcoin with it, I agree 100% that SLR should have it's own value.

Someone is running a arbitrage program on Bittrex trying to keep that price low always small amounts in the 20's on the sell pushing it down so the miners will sell to them cheaply on the buy, very interesting to watch

There's all kinds of interesting things to watch if you look closely enough.

Just a heads up, I'm trying to bring back a bunch of SLR held on paper wallets so I can stake them when PoS arrives and the importprivkey command is really annoying... It does work, so no worries there but once you do the command in the console, it takes forever to register. The command stays greyed out for quite a few minutes in the console window and makes you think nothing happened. If you get impatient and close down the wallet and restart before it turns from grey to black you have to re-index the blocks from the beginning but the coins are there. I have a bunch to do today, I just wanted to point out that even though it doesn't look like anything happens after you hit enter, if you wait a few minutes it will register without having to restart the wallet. But it's a PITA. The first one I tried appeared not to work and my heart skipped a few beats... But it does work, the coins are not lost, it just takes an inordinate amount of time to register for some reason.

Large solar farms are eligible to apply for solarcoin grants. As far as your other questions, the info is available in the wiki. There's many plans I'm just too lazy to find them for you.

The cheapest way to vote is with CryptsyPoints. I was able to buy 285 votes (thru Points) with only $14 worth of BTC.

I think SLR is still too new to the voting list, so they don't yet have a BTC address for voting. For now you can only put in extra votes with CryptsyPoints. You can buy points here: https://www.cryptsy.com/markets/view/120

I'd love to know who is manipulating the price of Solarcoin on Bittrex, deliberately trying to keep the price down.
