So patience right? It is XDN development problem. I will connect to the wallet later.

On XDN IRC channel, moneromooo, you told me can connect using other wallets? (XDNconnect)

What I said is that my own daemon and wallet are running fine, and are connected to the rest of the network. I'm not running Windows though. All I can guess at is that there may be temporary problems with the seed nodes. Maybe dNote will know.

This means it is not my ISP, firewall, proxy, or windows machine.

Is this going to be fixed on its own later? Do you know?

In case it does not connect can I recover my XDN?

Your XDN is fine. You can download the daemon (darknoted) and run the GUI wallet from daemon.

On your GUI Wallet, take a look at Connections

You will see connect to "local darknoted"

load your Daemon, you may have to download the blockchain which could take a minute

wait till its fully synced and load your GUI wallet and under connections select connect to "local darknoted"

This happens from time to time and the remote connection needs to be reset. So not really a development problem, things just need to be reset every now and again

The daemon darknoted.exe file is within simplewallet?

If it's this file it cannot sync as well.

I downloaded the blockchain and put it inside the same folder.

darnoted.exe is no different than any normal QT. A normal coin QT does what the darknoted.exe does, but in the background where you cant see.

Consider the darknoted.exe and Darknote GUI together as a normal QT.

With that said, the blockchain is stored in the same place as other QTs

For Darknote it is in C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\ducknote
(make sure you have show hidden folder option on)

Run your darknoted.exe and wait till it says you are now fully synchronized with the network.

The open your GUI wallet and under connections select disconnect and then pick the Local option (make sure you have darknoted running though)

Don't give up before you even try. They are very good directions that anyone who gives it a shot should find it.

I can see that the blockchain (2 blue files) get updated in my folder:

C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\ducknote

Then what?

I run darknoted and it is not syncronising!

Within darknoted I get: sync data returned unknown block

Thats good, that means its syncing. See you learned something new. Glad you kept at it.

what that means is that you just downloaded block 22389 out of 93931.

When you get to 93931 you will be synchronized.

Others have posted that the remote node is good again, but remember this as a back up because things do go down but you will always have access to your darknotes.

There was a problem with some of GUI nodes. Now it is fixed.

Dear users, it is really good for  XDN if you will launch your own nodes and run XDN in "heavy" mode. It is really simple.

1. Run darknoted daemon: in case of Windows - darknoted.exe

.....Now wait until sync with network .... (or you can download blockchain from http://darknote.cc to make  it faster)

2. Run DarkNote GUI client.

3. Go to Connections tab -> press Disconnect -> press Connect to local darknoted.

that's it.

Any way you DarkNote  are always safe if you keep your Private keys safe.

Did you send some ? If so, it'll use some outputs you've received previously that make up an amount larger than what you send, and send the change back to you. This change will show as pending for a while until there are enough confirmations (I think about half an hour or so I think). That's normal.
