   We are happy to  announce that we are moving ahead with DarkNote wallet development and with the whole XDN dev process (PoS implementation,  aliases, etc).
As for now we are happy to introduce the new, improved DarkNote Client version.

How long will it be until you implement the aliases?

We are working on BIG update. As you may know, we like "quantum leaps" like we did with duck->dark.
Meanwhile PoS/PoW hybrid, Aliases and multisignutares, and some other "messaging" functions will upside down all you know before about cryptos. You just need to wait, and we just want to keep a little mystery, one reason is because we do not want to interrupt the dev process because of unnecessary excitement and anticipation caused by the inevitable future success of DarkNote.

There is a long way ahead, we are at the very beginning, truly, i would say we are on PoW stage. That is it. Hybrid PoW/PoS  - completely different circumstances, will be the next stage. Messaging and initial GUI was a middle stage, we implemented new cryptography, absolutely stunning approach of "information transportation" across blockchain. Messages in the form in which they are presented now is only a draft for the future DarkNote messaging functionality, it will be an instant messaging across all platforms with lots of side features and cool UI.

popularity comes with knowledge, we are proud of our work and the way we act. being international  dev team we suggest all users and XDN fans to contribute, but please, we don`t want you to promote DarkNote, we want you to share an information about the work that was done and about the work that will be done.

1. Choose a pic
2. Go to http://base64image.org/. Convert your img to base64.
3. Send a message with the code to your friend. Ask him to decode it with http://base64image.org/

We suggest all users to initiate their own local blockchains for XDN strengthen.

Thank you for your question. We are working on detailed guides and community website with wiki.
In general to run Local blockchain you should do:

1. Run .darnoted (darknoted.exe) - from simplewallet distribution chrome://mega/content/secure.html#!YVp1yQ4a!1RmjYhBd9ksRBhfU9xU-xUd8jm1OO50rvHvuQdrPOh0
2. Wait until full sync (you can download blockchain as you did to make sync faster.)
3. Run GUI and initiate connection with local darknoted, instead of remote, via Connections-> connect to local darknoted.
4. That is it! By connecting to your local darknoted you became absolutely independent in terms of node stability, since you will run your own node and you will be the only one who is using it (until you decide to share your node). Also you will make XDN network stronger by spreading the decentralization.

I just installed 99.1
Initially i was having issue as 99.1 was not accepting my password for version 99.0. (good thing I did not write over old wallet version)
Workaround was to export private key from 99.0 & import into 99.1 which interestingly allowed me to set a new password when importing key.

Wallet synced perfectly, mining works great

The rewards are so low now it hardly makes sense to mine.

Yes, DarkNote reward halves every 11000  blocks. The minimum block reward is 150 XDN.
It's a part of XDN smart economy strategy.
It was done to bring the major (more than 70%) of XDN coin units to the free cryptocurrencies market in the first year with the Proof-of-Work mining. The idea behind this is tDarkNote value and price should be ruled only by free open markets, not several big stakeholders/miners like it's done in other cryptocurrencies.

But also, PoW/PoS Hybrid scheme will be implemented soon.

big mining rewards existed to benefit the insiders who purposely names the coin "ducknote" and limited innovation at the time. Only once they had lots of coins did they rebrand to "darknote" and begin to innovate.  Boolberry is the cryptonote coin with the most fair distribution (by far). Look at the distribution curve and decide for yourself

There were no insiders, I was here on this thread, just like I was on the Monero and Bytecoin thread. Mining all I could of each coin. These huge rewards you speak of were dumped at a measly 3 sats when the coin was first on exchange. There were no huge profits, just like there are no hidden agendas and insiders that you speak of. I support all these coins and have no bias, but I just came from the BBR thread of which you just posted about the help it needs and now I see you here talking about non sense.

I would like to note that the majority of the coins I hold, were bought at 3-7 sats. Mining for this coin when it first started was not profitable, even considering the block reward.

I would also like to mention the scandal with BBR and how christian had created a video card miner for BBR and mined an immense amount before it was released.
