If we continue at the rate we're going, I would have no problem paying for 1000 Amp service upgrade 21 days from now.  However, I'm only getting 800 Amps.  Actually, 600 amps worth of panels at first with an 800 amp fused disconnect switch.  I'll add the other 200 amp panel a few months down the road.  I don't want to draw too much attention from an inspector with 800 amps out the door.  I'm leading them to believe I'm changing out my gas furnace to an electric furnace and I'm adding a server rack in the garage to fiddle with.

They will have no idea what's in the recreation room.  In fact, I'm disconnecting and pulling out all of the 30A circuits that are in my present panel going to my existing mining closet as well to avoid attention.  That will not occur until just before an inspector is expected to arrive.  Which means you will not see me mining on the pool for 24 to 48 hours.  Bummer...  I'll keep you updated on when that occurs. [Hopefully, no more than 2 to 3 weeks from now.]

I'm going to install a couple of 30A outlets overhead in the garage where I will place a server rack and mount a couple of PDU's on it for looks.  No equipment will be on the server rack.  Also, thanks to that 7 block run in less than 24 hours, I'm getting french doors this week to install downstairs in the entrance to the recreation room where the mining closet is located.  That should cut out a ton of noise from coming upstairs.

Happy mining everyone!

David

Is that it? I have a nuclear reactor in my shed that is powered by the radioactive material found in smoke detectors....

lol .... just kidding

How could block 39848 (2016-01-11 16:06:09) be found after Kano's 392849 (2016-01-11 15:58:46)?  This is craziness!

Because the time stamp in a block header doesn't really mean much.
It's not when the block was found, it's simply the time that was put there by the pool or miner.
It has certain limits but they are quite loose limits.

Any idea why the DE node is throwing 4 x more invalids?

Well I'm not actually sure why the first one is so low.
Any proxy pool will add latency since the miner has to travel from wherever they are, to the proxy pool, then from the proxy pool to us.
I can only guess that whoever is providing the miners for the 2nd worker might be further from euro-hash, or be crappy miners that don't handle a block change/work change well and our numbers all reset on a block change

My daily average for 24THs which calculates to 0.116 BTC/Day with the current difficulty is now 0.157 BTC/Day for January here on Kano.  Keep those blocks coming!

Thank you for your hashrate sir.

Well, I did some math.

I could end up buying 20 x S7's, plug them in, deal with the noise (divorce), power ($0.13KW in Ontario) and the Cost of ~$45K US + Divorce

Or.....

I could spend about $500 US and get 100 TH/s and get in immediately, no noise, keep the wife...
Payouts should make this party going on for a while...

NiceHash was an approach which make sense for me.

ZemCoin

Nicehash allow you to point all the hashing power to Kano.is?  How many hrs do you get to use 100TH for that $500?  Hmmm.......I may look into this as that sounds like a good gamble for a great pool such as Kano.

When renting their rigs, yes. is it gambling, maybe. Everything in life is

Nicehash has a calculator when placing an order. Give it a shot

Wow sounds like a lot of work.  Good luck with it all!

Yes, agreed...  This is the first time for me to deal with an Engineer from the power company and multiple electrical contractors to get a quote for the labor cost.  I'm providing all the material.  I got my old electrical foreman [when I used to work for an electrical contractor back in the 1990's] to come out to my house and put together a material list for everything I needed for 800 amp service.  I simply hand the electrical contractors a copy of that list to help them determine labor costs when they give me a quote.

My last electrical contractor just came out this morning.  I'm expecting 3 more quotes via a phone call or email this week.  All of this has been a great learning experience to prepare myself for the move to Washington State between August 2016 and May 2017.  I wanted to move out there the end of 2015 but it just didn't work out.  I'm not sure exactly when I would move there.  It all depends on the difficulty, price of rigs and price of bitcoin.

SweeeeeeeeeeeeT   Grin Grin Grin Grin

Another Block.

Mind if I ask the rough cost?  Sounds like a large investment to me for only 8 - 16 months of use.  Although that'll be one awesome selling point to the house.  I can see the listing.  3 bath 4 bedroom quiet neighborhood 800 AMP SERVICE!

More green blocks!!!
