Since your taking requests, I would like to see new blocks made every 8 hours or at least make a new block before the last one is confirmed.  Grin

Why didn't I think of that, I'll get right on it.

Edit: Kano's api won't allow it.  Cry guess we'll just have to get them the old fashioned way.

Kano- can you open up the API for Zach? Would like the function to request new blocks at will, preferably every 8 hours or before the previous block is confirmed. I think everyone would like the same functionality.  Grin

Thanks
Functionality Added Smiley

Supply about 7PH of miners and point them at stratum.kano.is

... 16Ph is about 3 blocks a day Smiley

Excellent. Looks like the API is working! Rather get 3 blocks a day with 9ph but with these green stats and your excellent commitment and coding skills 16PH is just a week or 2 away.

Actually rather see 21PH here to get you a fee of 1btc per day as you certainly deserve that and more.

... and just to show everyone that mining here at kano.is and Solo CKPool is the best thing you can do for Bitcoin Smiley

Have a look here:
http://data.bitcoinity.org/bitcoin/blocksize/30d?t=l

Then scroll down to the table below the graph and click on the "Average size" header twice so it orders from largest to smallest.

Yep we're processing transactions and keeping bitcoin alive as best we can.

That right there is reason enough to be mining here. If miners are not processing transactions Bitcoin would be worthless.

I made a tool to check the bitcoin price, amount of BTC in one or more addresses, and the stats of kano.is (general and user) on a 16x2 or higher LCD screen connected to a raspberry pi. It also turns on a led if a miner hasn't sent a share in an specified amount of seconds. And well, why not share the code?.

https://github.com/fabrizziop/rpi-bitcoin-lcd

Works fine for me, and it's free to use if you want.

Hello Fabrizziop,

Will this tool do logging of historic coin reward along with BTC price rather than just display it on an LCD?  Seems very handy as I need something that converts rewards found to USD for accounting purpose.

Just "Mining" my own business.

After such a stellar run Friday we are going to be due for some nasty red blocks.  Hopefully not too many, but it is a certainty that they will happen.
No it isn't. Every block is 100% independent of every other block ever found in history.

Thinking otherwise is called Gambler's Fallacy.

The actual reality is quite simple and completely missed by many.

At some point in time luck changes.
Up to that point luck will be good.
The next block after that point luck will be bad.
Why? Coz if it wasn't bad, we still say it was good and luck hasn't changed Tongue
There's no prediction of when that is.

What effect that has on the next block? Zero.

kano and ckpool down?

Update: Failover has been triggered. This includes the sg node and us node.
Anybody can reconfirm?

If I provided you good and useful info or just a smile to your day, consider sending me merit points to further validate this Bitcointalk account ~ useful for future account recovery...

I thought it was strange that the pool shows less than 2.5PH...... now website no longer accessible but miners are still showing as hashing away.  It didn't failover.
