So is it just me or is it looking like pyramining will be the first implemented and running ASICs on the network? If that holds true it will be a great thing to be a pyramining user as we'll all reap the rewards (I know the investors in my proxy pyramining funds should be happy if this is the case)! :-)

That claim seems pretty dubious and naive. What makes you guys think he actually has asics coming when nobody else does?

Please, don't transform this thread into another speculation about ASICs. We are working hard on it, it's a difficult road, and as I stated above, a delay still may appear. We are trying to deploy as fast as possible. I am as eager as you (probably much more) to have them working.

It´s hope arround there. But it is very obvious he is working hard, he IS an entrepreneur. Things may fail or be delayed, but when someone has an entrepreneur soul, nothing will stop him. I am sure about that.

True indeed. After the big mess at BTCFPGA side, I'm hoping to see some good returns with this.

Received my 3/11 Bitcoin from Pyramining on January 4th. Thanks Pyramining! Should take a long time due to difficulty increase and block reward halving.

I hope Pyramining is not dependent on BTCFPGA with their Asics... don't want to loose all my coins
Seems like BTCFPGA can't pay back all customers

You don't need to thank me, it's just normal. I hope Pyramining is not dependent on [edit: put your favorite vendor here] with their Asics... don't want to loose all my coins
Nobody will lose their coins. Should something go extremely wrong (extremely unlikely), coins will be sent back. I'm financially solid.

Looks like Avalon has shipped their ASIC servers (20 JAN). Let's give our support and prayers to pyramining so that his ASICs will come online soon to beat the next re-target.

From everything I can tell they're coming along in due time. I'm just hoping we can get them soon so everything isn't tied up waiting and we can bring the time down from ~30 months. In time as well I suppose.

Thanks, I always want to ask, but I don't want to be the single person badgering for more info. Between Avalon and general impatience for the shiny new toys I imagine I'm not the only one waiting with bated breath. Theoretically the lowest cost ASICs with certainly the lowest maintenance.

I don't have any useful update yet. Please don't be impatient, I know that Avalon is probably shipping, but our solution should be far more competitive, so there will still be an advantage.

I was checking my account today and saw the last reward stuck at 2013-01-21 22:16:44 UTC. Wasn't there any mining on 22 Jan onwards?

Sorry for being harsh, but I don't care about Avalon, I am just asking about your progress. "Far more competitive" - that's because? I really don't understand why you cannot post ANY details. This isn't adding confidence to your business.

What can you tell us about the predicted specs anyway? Any ASIC hardware porn?
ASIC boards provide (at current $13.41/BTC) 719MH/s per BTC, with an estimated power consumption set between 1.2W and 1.4W per GH/s. Miners will be arranged in sets of 1KW/each (more than 750GH/s per unit). I will release some adult pictures of this stuff when the production will be ready to be assembled. And from the website ASIC GH/s cost: 1.09 BTC
Those are the advantages. Pyramining is able to deploy ASICs for cheaper than anyone else at current (given current estimates and pricing). BFL's power estimates are slightly lower per GH/s, but that's offset by pyramining's electric rate (which I believe is fairly low) and a bit of solar that's already setup. They're also easier to keep up with since it's someone else's job to deal with.

Any news on the ASICs? Are we on track to deploy them this month as you previously intended?
Production should start next week, there are good chances that we will have finished boards before the end of the month. I wrote "should" in italic, because there are still a few complex tasks to complete which could lead (even if unlikely) to small delays. Holidays between the last two weeks didn't help with this. ;-) However we're currently working with prototypes and finalizing firmware. Still set on not selling these to people, even sans support, warranties, and the like? What can you tell us about the predicted specs anyway? Any ASIC hardware porn? Anynews ?
