I don't think there is one and that's why it's a gamble to invest right now. If there's a flaw with their code, or they keep pushing back the open source release date (meaning they have no intention of ever actually releasing it), faith in the project will go down and the price will plummet.

That's why people are hoping for the open source release soon. I think that's the main thing holding this project back. Once the code is released and actually checked/audited/vetted, assuming everything passes inspection, it should take off IMO.

I agree. Their plan is solid. Clearly they are incorporating what the community believes bitcoin should be going and then adding on top the technology everyone is hoping for. If it is what they say, and there is no reason to not believe them, this bitcoin could easily be greater value than monero. We are talking about transfer of value without tracing and that is the original vision of bitcoin. This could be it, the transformational technology that turns the tables. A global currency that works.

Yeah, I can imagine we’ll be hitting a pretty modest pump after CLOAK makes the change to open source. I just hope I’m holding a decent amount when that happens

Wait, what the hell? This is the first I’ve heard of coinbase being down, and I use coinbase (although not to store much BTC, so if I did lose my BTC on coinbase it wouldn’t be more than a few dollars).
Update: Just checked, it seems to be up; at least for me.

Well that sucks!  Gotta find a new place to pass my bitcoins into bittrex!  What do other people use to get money moved around.
