ok, i've found how to reset to p2 state without rebooting your computer and without using inspector, just this nvidia-smi -rac
very useful, was a pain in the ass to reset each time i need to use other algo, which otherwise would result in a drivers crash with p0 state, like quark...probably due to the high overclock...
quark is the one with the most problems and then neoscrypt and lyra2v2 ... but quark is the worst.. even with no oc'ing. There was a command in cuda mining - C 0 - C 1 -C 2 but there not in ccminer and I don't know if that would help in the oc'ing or not.

there is a way to change back the p state from 0 to 2 without using nvidia inspector? with command prompt for example?
Inspector works from command line as well so you can cook up a bat that runs your preferred settings on boot. I haven't tried it though. For my one rig it would have to do this... cd C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\NVSMI nvidia-smi -ac 3505,1455 -i 0,1,2,4 It would be nice to have that work on boot-up or built into the bat or conf file. Anything that's in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup will run at each boot so you can just put the .bat there. (Win7 but I'd guess it's the same for 8/10) Yes it is ... but all oc'ing apps would have to be off to set property ..... Thx

SP what exact cpu are you using on windows rigs. I'm going to look it up and price it and see how many lanes it has. Thx

after all the payments i have made to sp ( in excess of 1-2btc to date ) - sp seems to be holding back the latest miner from me ...
I have sendt it twice. to the gnxs adress i am still receiving emails from everyone else - except you ... you are NOT on the ban list - you are NOT on the junk list - i have received emails from you many time prior ... is there an issue with the mail system? ... ill check that and let you know ... but to date - i have not received one email from you - let alone one with an attachment with the latest miner ... i dunno whats going on mate - but this isnt good ... ALL of my emails are via the gnxs accounts - and none of them are having issues currently ... go figure ... #crysx

Do you use different intensities for different algos? The default -i may be too high when combined with OC on some algos.

The intensity can be set on a per algo basis because it is a ccminer parameter but p state, tdp, OC etc are per GPU so changing them would affect all algos. That way you can optimize each algo individually for each rig. Another point is that different cards have different intensity limits so if you have different cards in the same rig you will have to set it to a value that works on all cards which may not be optimum on some cards.

would still be nice to see one in action ... even if it isnt '10x' the speed and all that ... will get a chance soon i think ... #crysx This is all old... The unveil for Pascal was on Friday which someone else announced in the thread. A 1070 is a bit faster then a Titan and a 1080 is a decent bit faster. Benchmarks aren't out yet.

An Eth/FTC dual miner would be so so awesome. Not sure what kind of hash rates could be expected though...

On forum.hardware.fr (main french hardware forum) price for used good custom GTX 980 ti is now around or even under 450 euros (it was 550 euros a month ago), 330 euros for GTX 980 and 230 for a GTX 970. Beside, it will last some few month before the optmized miners for the new gpu will arrive : probably better to keep them and mine with them for the next 3 months.

FTC = neoscrypt = memory hard algo + ETH = dagger hashimoto = memory hard algo don't think it'll happen ;-)
