Anybody help please....I was forced to buy 2 970 gtx gigabyte g1 graphics cards...only wanted one. Newegg took my BTC and never gave it back forcing me to buy 2. Never doing business with them again. So I'm having problems with it. I noticed on my 1st card installed it read out 3505,1455..so I set the clocks to 3505,1455. When I installed the second card and looked at the clocks available .. it read out that both cards showed 3505,1519. ? ? ? Should I set them to 3505,1455 to get to the p0 state? Or should I just leave them in the p2 state? Thx
Set the P0 state only for mining ETH. For other algos there is no need to. I usually set the P0 state first and then overclock with the standard procedure. Thx but what upper clock readout do you are anyone here get on that card. I do set them to p0 state for everything ... but I may try p2 state. The one card I just got is giving me problems like I said above even at p2. Anyone have the same clocks?........maybe related to having 2 of the g1 cards I don't know. Runs for awhile then crashes the drivers at any state they are set at... just curious about the clocks. Crashed 50 times today. I don't understand what are You talking about... So one of Yours 970 G1 works like expected and the other one not? What do You mean both cards showed 3505/1519? Are those the default clocks? Stock 1519 is too high for all 970... Are You runnning win10?

Now I don't know if I should set them back to.. 3505,1455. They have been running stable now for an hour.

And Decred is basically to worthless to mine now after the dual miner hit. If you guys make a dual miner, please combine it with a different algo... Like Neoscrypt (although more memory hard).
I thought of a dual etherum miner a long time ago, and I also suggested this to Genoil here on bitcointalk. This was before decred came, and I was thinking of a dual Keccak(Maxcoin) + etherum.. You need a simple algo with no memory access to take advantage of the memory pipeline. True that. I should have listened to you . Maxcoin would have been great. Perhaps I should try it anyway and see if we can pump it a bit. Genoil if you need support for it, leave a hint. I am not a cuda programmer but could attach my knowledge at c++ to support dual mining

LOL. I was wondering if one miner could optimize the resource allocation and perfom better than two competing instances.

It doesn't work. You don't get any benefit, in fact typically you get worse overall hashrate - even if it doesn't crash the card.

I used to mine with two instances of CudaMiner and got slightly better results than a single instance, mining scrypt. I have run two instances of CCminer on different algos, accidentally, without crashing. There are several posts on this topic now, none of them have concrete results or posted pics with numbers. The 980ti with my public private bins(0.1BTC) is faster than the quadro K6000. Will it be faster than the pascal chips?quark@32 MHASH (The 1.7.5 release does 17MHASH on the same card 980ti@ 1290core.) I hope it is faster then pascal. SP I'm getting a 970 gigabyte g1 ... how is the hashrate on that with that private release ? It should do above 19 MHASH on the standard clocks. After the collapse in Decred you should move your rigs to the other optimized SP-modded kernals. Quark is profitable now. 0.1BTC for release #5 Release #6 will be included in the sp-mod ultimate. The price will probobly be around 0.5BTC and the donators will get discounts for old donations.

Go get some Verge with the faster sp-modded kernals:
Algorithms: scrypt, x17, Lyra2rev2, myr-groestl, & blake2s

Looking for a merge miner of some sort... Perhaps figure out what sort of combinations of algos you can put together and net a better result. Could even be a feature of your 'mega miner'.

KOPIEMTU, VertCoin, AND MobileCash-- JK_14 put together a merge-mining pair with VertCoin and MobileCash. I don't know how successful it was, but if you look up the Kopiemtu thread, you'll find more info. --scryptr

Algos that can be merged are 1 simple algo, 1 memory algo. Simple algos: keccak,luffa,whirlpool,decred,blake2s,blake256,vcash,skein,pentablake. Memory algos: Perhaps lyra2/lyra2v2, neoscrypt, cryptonight, spreadcoin, etherum. If you run 2 instances of ccminer I will run with the -C option. (cpu mining) to avoid blocking sync. Try to combine one simple algo and one memory algo. Reduce the intensity on the simple algo. (2 miner instances.)

If you've tried running multiple instances of the miners it often shit itself and seems to throttle more then help out, which is why a formal implementation of some kind needs to be done. It could be I have too many cards on one system and if you have a more antiquated system it works out better... Using a 6 card 970 system, running Eth and Dcr, the two fight eachother and it leads to maybe 5% additional hashrate. It's not very clean and it doesn't work very well.
