Hey I'm running ccMiner-(spmod) 1.5.78 which says it is optimised for Maxwell based cards.

Any reason why my NVIDIA Quadro M6000 12GB is only getting about 11.7MH/s @ x11 ?

This is a pretty high end card and I hear ATI high ends go waaaay better so is it just the fact that it's an NVIDIA card or can I push this thing faster? No overclocking and running default settings on ccMiner. I tried tweaking different things like work sizes etc but no real gains.

Any one else mined with such a card? I didn't buy it for mining, just utilising it while it's sitting idle in my box so not really crucial just thought I'd see if I can squeeze more out of it Cheesy

Tried playing around with the -i setting too? Default is -i 20 IIRC, but you can probably get a lot higher.
Anyways, Quadros are differently designed than consumer-based cards and ccminer might probably need some code tweaks for such cards. Maybe if you donate to a dev, they might want to help you ^^

Also, X11 isn't worth it anymore Wink There are more profitable algos out there to mine.

Use version 1.5.74 and compile with cuda 6.5. Or buy my private kernal. (0.1BTC) The 980ti (6 GB) is doing 13MHASH x11, and 28MHASH quark ( @1280Mhz core) X11 has not been protifable on Nvidia cards since wolf0's binaries was stolen and spread. I only optimize the most profitable algos.

The only other possibility is I'm running on W8.1 x64. I haven't had problems up till this point on using W8 over W7, however, sometimes I get better hashrate because of it. I still don't know why this would be the problem as the miner is showing a higher hashrate... which should include a CPU slowdown if my CPU was limiting the GPUs.

You reported that the original 1.7.4 had the same problem. It could be the stratum code that is not working correct. You need to mine on a pool with difficulty>1

I will run a kernal test to make sure my fork isn't missing any hash. I will run 1.7.4 kernal, and then my modded kernal and check if they find the same solutions..

If it were just a me issue other people wouldn't be getting it... Still other people wouldn't be getting correct speeds at pool.

I buy private Nvidia miners. Send information and/or inquiries to my PM box.

I did a regression test comparing my mod #4 and the original kernal. Some of the nounces are not found resulting in a lower hashrate on the pool. Bensam was right again..New fixed version will be sendt out today.

SUPRNOVA--

I have been mining with LongPoll on SuprNova with beta #6.  I cannot get the stratum implementation to work well on port 2252, but the original tpruvot code was the same.  It under-reports hash poolside.

The LongPoll is simply less efficient.  I get readings poolside that are both under- and over- my local console reported hashrate for DCR.  Over 24 hours, it appears more under-reported hash poolside than otherwise.

Proxies are supposed to improve efficiency in hash results, maybe by 10-20%.  The DECRED proxy I listed above does not compile on Linux easily, it has dependencies that I don't understand.

I am earning about 5 DCR a day with beta #6, a local hashrate of 540MH/s per 750ti FTW card, or 3240MH/s for my 6 card rig.  I have only been miniing on SuprNova.       --scryptr

Use the Decred Mining Calculator to check your earning. Previously (Tpruvot 1.7.3) I mined DCR at Suprnova Stratum port, although the pool stat is way out, the earning is more than what the calculator indicated. So i think is the pool stat error.

There was a bug in my testcode. #6 seems to give correct results. At least on yiimp.ccminer.org

I did a regression test comparing my mod #4 and the original kernal. Some of the nounces are not found resulting in a lower hashrate on the pool. Bensam was right again..New fixed version will be sendt out today.

...and it looks like it is fixed. Coinmine seems like it's getting ddos'd, doesn't work properly. MNpool was working properly, but then I get 'unknown work' and lose shares. Suprnova seems to be giving me full speed right now, not sure how long that's going to last. Using diff 8, 4, 8 respectively.

Not sure what the 'unknown work' submit error is, I've gotten it a few times though over the months trying to use decred. It'll usually work fine and then crap out a bunch of those all in a row.

Quote from: ocminer
This is a confirmed bug in cgminer on windows. It affects all pools. This flags seem to help:

--no-submit-stale --scan-time 2 --queue 0

Unknown-work means you are sending work back to the pool that was never requested - thats why it gets rejected, on windows cgminer seems to wrong calculation of the hash sometimes which results in this behavior.

It will probably get fixed in one of the future releases, or simply try the flags above.

https://forum.decred.org/threads/unknown-work-rejected-shares-pool-mining.511/

Please fix this.

Please at least try your releases on some of the other decred pools instead of just yiimp. The yaamp clones seem weird for some reasons, try longpoll over stratum instead as well.

I buy private Nvidia miners. Send information and/or inquiries to my PM box.

hi all ...

chrysophylax here ...

im messaging from this 'newbie' account 'crysx' because i have tried to log in to bct from the new premises - and failed miserably - so please excuse the off-topic post ...

due to my computer being a linux machine AND being fully encrypted AND having a password wallet that is fully encrypted - i only ever really need to know a few passwrds ( 16 in all ) ... one of the passwords ( and details as i later found out - due to the questions that bct ask for verification ) i did not alott to memory were those conatined in the personal encrypted wallet ... one of those was bitcointalk password and details ...

yesterday - i tried to log in unsucessfully with the wrong password ... the password is 3 years old - which as long as ive had the chrysophylax profile ... it also has made more than 3000posts and is a hero member - about to go to legendary in the coming weeks / months ... now before any of you carry on about changing passwords regularly and all that - i agree and am totally devoted to changing 'simplistic' passwords ... not ones that require brute force with decryption algorithms and a farm of hash to crack the passwords ... so to move on with the story ...

more than all that - the chrysophylax profile is also is the authority profile for the granite thread AND the dbm thread ( the two projects i currenty have ) and was about to take control of the other coin we have just adopted - ozziecoin ...

when the unsuccessful attempt to log in was tried three times - i attempted to change passwords via email ...

the email was sent from bct to my email address - and i followed the instructions to the 'change password' link - only to have them as a private question - which i have forgotten the answer to also ...

i didnt think that was much of an issue - except that as soon as the submit button was clicked - i receieved the following message ...

Code:
An Error Has Occurred!

Sorry chrysophylax, you are banned from using this forum!
For security, your account has been locked. Email acctcomp15@theymos.e4ward.com

now this shows three things ...

1 - the security measures that bct have in place are brief and not very descriptive ...
2 - the security measures that bct have in place are active ...
3 - the security measures that bct have in place work ...

now i proceeded to send an email to the above email address to theymos - and will see what happens in the following couple of days ... being an easter weekend - i would assume this may take a little more time so ill leave it till mid to end of next week ...

if i havent received a response by then - ill message mprep and see what suggestion he / she will advise of what can be done ...

a three year hero profile like mine should NEVER be allowed to go to waste ( as i know many of you have had profiles lost that are much older than that again ) - and there should be various countermeasures to allow the official owner of the account to prove themselves ( like knowing or remebering the last private messages before the lockout - which in my case was the 23rd march 2016 ) ...

but again - we will see what happens with the responses i get ...

i will keep you all informed of what happnes with this through this profile ive now started ( which is the short version of my name anyway ) ...

as for the update so far ...

the move is being finalized on the 28th march 2016 ( a couple of days away ) which means i will be on and offline here for the next few days - only to be completely offline for a few days while i set up house in the new premises ... this means that i will be only messaging when necessary - and any of those of you that needed my attention before this happened via pm ( there were about 7 pms in all - i only got to answer one ) will need to send a pm to this current profile - until i can resolve this issue with theymos ( and mprep if possible ) - to get back into my official profile ...

thefarm will be down and will not be back in to production until another residence for it can be found - and am currently in the process of looking for a small warehouse for its growth and redesign and development ... that will happen end of next week when i have personally settled into my ( partner and i ) new residence ...

i will be posting this message in all three forums that are granite based - AND - the mining forums i usually frequent ( like spmod and tpruvot thread ) ...

much appreciated for all your support thus far - and hope to be back online soon with my proper profile ...
