I get around 5 MHASH on the 1080ti.. ($8.5 a day)

What do you get with the AMD miner?

If I "sell" for 0.1btc xevan is going to be harvested. So I will sell for around 1 BTC instead to 2-3 buyers. Good or bad?

How soon before the Xevan miner is available?

1 btc? No way... It's cheaper to pay someone to make a miner. It's not worth.... 8 dollar how long?

I'm not paying for a miner any more. It's worthless. Maybe in the first few days it's okay but later...

You should really think about the expression you use before you use it.

In other news has anyone had any failures with the newer Gigabyte fan designs for their extreme edition cards? Supposedly they are double ball bearing and are designed to last. I personally have not had any failures yet, but given how terrible their fans are, I wouldn't put it past them.

Talking about these:

I have 6 of these 1080ti AORUS Xtreme's. Been running for about 3-4 months now with no issues. Way quieter and cooler than the 4 shitty FEs I have too and OC loads better.

It's cheaper to pay someone to make a miner. It's not worth.... 8 dollar how long?

Making a gpu miner easy.
Making a profitable gpu miner is harder.
Making a $8/gpu harvester is hard. (expensive)

Amsterdamcoin (xevan) has fell 50% in 1 week.

other coins are tanking as well.. (BCCT exit.)

The chinese BCCT exchange is only 2.9% of the world fiat/btc exchange. but the market respond and send bitcoin -30% in just a few days.

It is not only BCCT. It is supposed to be all chinese exchanges.

It is not only BCCT. It is supposed to be all chinese exchanges.

But they are not shutting down for international  customers.

We'll see what happens. The news was a ban on ICO's (initial coin offerings). The exchanges will probobly be regulated like in the US.

viabtc is closing as well, and more will come.
of those that announced their closing, none of the two is keeping open for international customers.
with this move, the chinese are loosing opportunities that other countries will get, so good for us in the long run.

Now China is going to become the biggest exporter of Bitcoin and earn foreign currenies. Next episode will be how the west is going to counter this "trade deficit".

China also knows bitcoin won't die. That is why they don't ban mining. They want to use bitcoin to earn foreign exchange. China also encourage research and development on Blockchain but they ban ICO in China. However Chinese companies can still offer ICO outside of China.

If you want to know some ccminer history github is a nice place to check.

Here is a commit back in nov 2014: (faster echo512)

https://github.com/sp-hash/ccminer/commit/3cc7e9db091b277d9357b20f2d9101846bee54dc

Here is another commit Jan 2015 (Faster groestl512)

https://github.com/sp-hash/ccminer/commit/1c61d0eebb1ee49bcdb137d5c7291fc0fb3e810d

Every algo have been optimized by me, and I have done it opensource.

If you see the latest alexis fork, he base his work on the same code.

So I did the work, Eplyson copied my work, and Alexis reforked my work. And then They bitch about it when I add some more speed and refuse to share my changes..Huh

You really tried to go there.

Name one algo that you have released before Epsy or any other Nvidia dev has?

I'll be waiting for that answer.

You release nothing. You copy every algo that Epsy has released that you put in "your" miner.

EVERYONE here needs to wake up and realize the day Epsy stops releasing algo's then this ccminer is done.

Everyone who donates to sp has a backward thought process. The real person who should be getting donations is Epsy for his work in releasing the algo's and code for sp to take and claim as his own.

Here is a question to EVERYONE who has been donating to sp ASK HIM FOR THE SOURCE and he must provide it per the License.

So everyone mining algo's - skunk, dnr and timetravel10 you should really be donating to Epsy for giving you the opportunity to mine it.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=770064.msg19977610#msg19977610  What was wrong. You could not release it yourself?

when you buy a car, do you pay henry ford for making the first car in mass production? No you don't
When you have the choice to get a Cheap car, or the fastest car, which one costs you more? The fastest car of course.
making those improvements is as hard a job as creating the algorithm in the first place. I am a developer myself and I am pretty sure it is not that sp_ can't do the algorithm but it would be most likely a waste of time.
And maybe, just maybe, some coders are really bad at understanding algo's from text but really good at understanding algo's in code. So why waste time creating an slow algo to then improve it instead of just making one faster?
