I think you posted on the wrong thread, @marcdk :-)

Any sign of the new OP?  Lots of new people are waking up to block.  Will the new OP be this month?  We REALLY need it ASAP.  Look at all the questions here just in the last day. Smiley

Yup. Just look at the next post after yours asking if there is an ICO to this.

We DESPERATELY need a clean simple up to date OP.

I would also like to emphasise the word simple in that. Please don't make it too wordy or hard for people to understand.

Yes, a new OP will be here this month.

I agree that it's needed.

Any newcomers with questions, please head to our AMA on Reddit. There's a lot of useful content on there.

If history repeats itself this scenario is quite likely. I remember when XC was abandoned for blocknet.

No, the Blocknet does not need to do this to raise money.

We're creating a token ecosystem; all we'd need to do is build another inter-chain service to complement the decentralised exchange. An ecosystem of inter-chain services is the whole point of the Blocknet.

This, additionally, would use the decentralised exchange service, giving it traction, and raising the price of BLOCK. Every monetised inter-chain service will need to exchange coins from the consumer of the service for coins that the service provider accepts. Hence, every monetised service will use the decentralised exchange.

I anticipate that, if the Blocknet takes off, most users of the decentralised exchange will be bots and smart contracts.

Not sure that makes a whole lot of sense unless they dumped a ton of block at the top recently.

I mean any dev team worth anything will accumulate a ton of their own tokens at a very low low level like below 10k sats where block has been.

If they can make this a 500M dollar project then you see they will make far more than from an ICO

The most profitable ico's for the devs are the tiny ICOs where they sell all their tokens to themselves for nothing.

Then if the tech is good they can manipulate the entire market up to the 100's of Millions.

I just hope this is going to get the traction this type of project should get.

There should be more excitement surrounding it even now. I guess people are not 100% confident after the way things have gone and the time taken that it will go smoothly.

I'm hoping it will starting picking up pace and interest very shortly. I think the dev team is still too small and needs expansion.

With regards XC I hope in future this project will be brought back to being relevant. Nobody seems to be selling much of that under 10k sats anyway so it seems most hodlers are hoping the same.

Hi Guys, just to say a very interesting project and watching with interest, however when visiting blocknet.co it does look unprofessional not to have a secure server, I mean for he sake of like 20 bucks a year or less, it opens you up to having files corrupted on downloads and getting injected with nasties, I wanted to download the windows exe file to have a play with but didn't for aforementioned reason.
Imagine if someone put a wallet stealer in one for example

not fudding but have seen happen to other coins from years back and can destroy things for people.
more of a word to the wise
hopefully you can sort this
cheers

already in place @ https://builds.xcurrency.co/

for the official wallet - https://builds.xcurrency.co/blocknet/Build/Official_Blocknet_Wallet/

for testing the dx - https://builds.xcurrency.co/blocknet/Build/

I'll get the website updated to reflect the secure url's, although the only risk of using http would be a man in the middle attack during your download, I can publish md5 sum's for the official wallets as well
