have a ton of S&B 115gr FMJ 9mm rounds
How much for the 9mm? I've been a bit short for awhile. Was going to buy a bunch more, but then sandyhook and gun laws shifted the prices into high gear and accelerated all the way to full retard. Might be willing to pay ~$0.40/rd or whatever the equivalent is in BTC/LTC. And whatever shipping would cost. What brand is "S&B"? Sellier and Bellot. It's a Slovakian company...cleanest burning ammo I've ever cycled. Springfield uses it for their proof of function/repository casings. I've put about 2000 rounds of it through my XDM without a single FTF/FTE, and I typically only clean it after 500-1000 rounds. I've used a lot of S&B long gun ammo and I love it. http://www.sellier-bellot.cz/How much are you looking for? I took a peek at prices on auctions ending today, and all I can say is holy shit. People are buying once fired brass for twenty goddamn cents a piece. My plinking spots are liking fucking goldmines! I didn't reload when shit was appropriately priced! That said, people are frantically paying $0.50+/rd for shitty brands like wolf and american eagle and federal all day... http://www.gunbroker.com/Ammunition/BI.aspx. I should have stocked up more!

Depends on the states laws. I don't know of federal laws prohibiting ownership of AP. But each state has its own laws. For example, in Florida, it's illegal to sell it, deliver it, or possess it "with knowledge of its armor-piercing...loaded in a handgun." Whatever that last part means. Or possess it with the intent to use it in a criminal act.

What is the decay date on ammunition? How long would you want to maintain it in storage prior to an ill effect resulting? If it is as long as I expect it may be, I could have quite a bit of ammunition for you fellows. It was removed from our store when we closed it, so I have quite a lot.
Also, I'd love to acquire a rifle.

Just looking for another 22lr? if so, grab the marlin 795 or 60 (795 is mag fed, 60 is tube fed). they come bore sighted and shoot perfect out of the box. theyre also only ~$150. Not as many customizations as the ruger 10/22, but much better out of the box. if something with a bit more power, 30-06, or maybe even a mosin nagrant for right around $150 as well. i have 2 of these, and theyre great rifles for what they are. around the same kick as the 30-06, imo. http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/36_756/products_id/411540200/Rifles/Century+International+Arms+Inc.

Lasts many years. Don't listen to any fudds and bubbas that tell you that you have to have it thrown away just because it's 10+ years old. People are still buying up surplus German ammunition from the 40s. What you need to look at is the shell to make sure it's not worn down. Cracked, horribly rusted, dented, etc. Discoloration usually doesn't matter. Next would be how it was stored. Has it been sitting under water for the past 15 years? Those neckings can be pretty air tight, but if they've been under water or sitting out in the weather for years, a little bit of moisture probably made it's way inside. But it sitting out in the rain for years would be apparent by the rust on the shells. Lastly, how was it stored? You see, there are many different types of gun powder. Some of it is an actual powder, some is more like rice shaped, some very tiny balls, etc (pic below) The different types of powder are used for different ways the powder burns. Certain calibers work better with certain types, while others don't. There is a science that I won't bother getting into. But the point I'm trying to make is that them constantly being shaken around or vibrating for years can break down the powder into a finer powder. Thus affecting how it burns when it fires. Which might be dangerous in a few instances. If it's been stored in some boxes/crates in the basement for 30 years, it's perfectly fine. tl;dr It's fine unless it's been running in the dishwasher for years. (i.e. horribly treated)
