the only thing thats going to set a round off is a precise strike from a hammer, etc.

Then what's a Cookoff?
I have also seen "cookoff" used to refer to a delayed detonation of the primer. Like say your ammo was a little damp. When the primer is struck, it could smolder a moment before igniting the charge.
To a grenadier cooking off means droping the spoon then waiting a moment before tossing.

Then what's a Cookoff?

It's when a barrel is so hot, that it bakes a cheap primer into firing.  I've literally never seen anything like this actually happen, and I've fired an M60 until the barrel glowed red and each new round produced a white hot dot on the barrel that zipped down and out.  Throwing them into a fire will blow them, but it's the caged force of being inside of a chamber that is dangerous.

Not that throwing ammo into a fire is actually safe.

Is it like in the movies when the ammo truck/building sets on fire and rounds go everywhere?

the point is for them not to know you're wearing it. If they see it, theyll shoot you in the face....

Not if I wear a Hemmit! I have to go through metal detectors and personal screenings/checks before getting to work, so I think they would find out either way.

I have some soft armor that should stop a handgun. But I thInk of a vest as bettering your odds rather than saving your life.

We're both on the same page. I don't aim for center mass if you know what I mean.

It probably is when I work in an office where I'm not allowed to bring in a cellphone, food, or anything besides my person. If you bring a flash drive in, shit hits the ceiling fan. I think wearing body armor would give off the wrong message. But, I could still wear the armor other places to avoid... the Librarian...

Edit* I should also probably mention I'm bored

I never really thought about facing an armored threat in a conceal carry setting before. I would shoot center mass. Hmmm. This is also not good training for zombi outbreaks.  Undecided
The vest was for some work abroad, I have not worn it in the US.

Not necessarily true. Seeing as we are just basing our zombie info off of movies and commonly held zombie steriotypes, and we have never actually found a real zombie, how can you be certain that zombies even have brains? If you are in the ground for a year, your brain is going to decay away, most likely more quickly than skin.

Using a reply from the video itself

"its BLATANTLY obvious the female zombie was still breathing after supposedly being "dead"...like after he shot her in the head...she couldn't hold her breath for the 5 seconds of screen time she had??"

Go to 1:13 and watch the next 5 seconds.

All I can say is, I have reason to believe this video might be fake.
