I had a friend who was a combat engineer. But frankly, he was not a very "squared away" solider. lol

I was talking to an Infantry Soldier why I could never do well in the Infantry last night, and I assumed he expected a POG statement; my answer was - "I feel naked with out a dozen bricks of C4 and as much det cord as I can pack in my bag." I think I made his evening.

Sometimes explosives are too messy. You can't really use a brick of c4 in close quarters combat with the living dead.

just regular brass deer slugs, unless you have some fancy stuff.

I checked, nothing that I think beats off the shelf pricing, unless you live in an area that charges some type of crazy premium.
