Your logic could be contra argumented in following way:
If the investors would not have spotted the promising ICO in which they decided to invest, then they would not have bought crypto currencie sin the first place and would not have contributed to the daily volume of cryptos.

I don't think it is all cryptocurrency ICOs that are killing bitcoin. I can agree if you refer to the scam ICOs because all they do is steal innocent people's money and disappear. These are the people who sell their bitcoin in a hurry. Other reliable ICOs can not kill bitcoin. All of them were funded with bitcoin at there ICO stage.

I don't think so, because the majority of this ICO projects are supporting Bitcoin and accepting it as an investment method, and in many cases, BTC is the first supported currency to contribute and buy tokens. So that's already helping to promote BTC even more and increasing its popularity.

not only kill but defame the good name of bitcoin because there are so many ICOs that cheat and concern the good name of bitcoin and ethereum. so hopefully in the coming year fraud in the ICO can be reduced and no more hopefully

ICO can't kill bitcoin, because in my opinion, they exist in parallel planes. Bitcoin develops its own way, and none of the altcoins will not be able to seriously affect it.

I would rather say that ICOs are killing the trust in altcoins and new projects investments than killing Bitcoin. Bitcoin is too big to be killed. If something will go wrong with Crypto generally speaking, Btc will be the one turning the lights off.

If you think about investing, try to avoid ICOs. non-ICO based projects are more reliable and les risky.

ICOs are rather pushing bitcoin to do better but not killing this wonderful cryptocurrency. I think the ICOs are doing pretty well, they are only making the crypto world much more competitive but bitcoin would forever remain the best cryptocurrency. As crypto enthusiasts, we need to be cautious and not fall for scam ICOs that are killing people.

yes it can be likened to that, but when there is a scam-based ICO that sometimes makes the cryptocurrency market a little shaky and it freaks out others, I hope the future ICO design is more mature and truly a place of innovation

They're not killing Bitcoin. They prove to the world that there's no reason to wait for something better.

You are right for every ICO that I've invested in I always go back to the basic that Bitcoin is still the best cryptocurrency in the market in terms of popularity and profitability, no wonder ICO just come and go some of them are useless and do not add value to the community, except EWthereum.

I don't think crypto ICO's are killing bitcoin most of crypt ICO are scams, it makes people think negatively about crypto world

Then if ICO's aren't killing bitcoin at end they are killing his reputation. Is already hard for people to trust in bitcoin, and those ones who start with cryptos joining to an ICO will end hating cryptos after realize it was a scam.

ICO's are just a smart way to get funds for a new coin. Lot of people have great ideas for coins, but not all of them have the capital to launch them. So, ICO's are their opportunity. a small % will success, but the sad reality is most of them will end in scam.

I disagree. Because nothing weak can destroy the powerful. BTC is still strong, and at least for now, other projects are unable to cope with it.

I think it is not a major problem for bitcoin. Who are much well known about bitcoin, they will not afraid about shitty ico. Scammers and newbies are available here and there. If we concern about them, we can lead bitcoin for a long run.

this is an old topic, but very good and the dynamics of ICO always adjust to market conditions and the development of the crypto world.

the development of ICO in 2014-2017 is very good, every ICO always creates good space in the crypto market, but today, I analyze that the development of ICO is influenced by the bearish market even though the market chart increases every year, but this year the bearish market dominates when compared to with the previous year.

the effect is that many investors choose to leave the ICO world, and bitcoin is their choice.

and the last,  I say that ICO will not kill bitcoin.

I think that is not true, because in my opinion it all depends on the demand and is hindered from the circulation of ico, I actually catch the positive side of the many ico who will buy bitcoin is used to buy ico and become a participant from ico who can provide benefits and make bitcoin prices rise.

You all stupid bounty hunters are depending those damn ICO because if the blame continues to bring in scammers project you will have nothing to eat for dinner

OP is right on this,i cant imagine that four years he can predict this thing from happening and now it’s truly in the track.and i think the Scamming from the ICO nowadays are killing the investors trust to buy cryptocurrency specially bitcoin.

Thats why ever since i enter crypto and learns the fundamentals i am looking for justice for all the victims of these scammers

I think crypto created from this ICO cannot kill bitcoin, because this ico makes a solution to the existence of world economic problems, because the circulation and use of ico is only dependent on demand and from the development of projects developed from the ICO and may not provide influence on bitcoin price movements.

in my opinion, ico is one of the ways or investment strategies using cryptocurrencies and there are still a number of other strategies so if ico destroys bitcoin I think it's impossible

Crypto ICO does not kill bitcoin, precisely with more and more virtual coins crypto currency will grow, and ICO makes bitcoin as a tool to buy their tokens, so that the volume of bitcoin trading will be better and can pump the price of bitcoin with lots of buying and selling transactions using bitcoin
