Due to the recent attacks on several altcoins checkpointing has been enabled on UFO. Small coins with low hash power have been the target and rather than be the victim we are putting security in place. The checkpointing will prevent the blockchain from being replaced by an attacker, it effectively protects the history of the chain from being changed to roll back transactions. Some of the recent attacks have been devastating to coins and their communities. We do not plan to be victim to these attacks.

I confirm that a month ago the blockchain has been attacked without damages, and the only effect in our node was the increase in the debug.log file.
However checkpointing is not the only shield into the ufocoin blockchain.
I'm not a market expert, I'm not a value price expert, but the blockchain is very durable.

Hi esprit577, UFO already had the new algorithm when it was removed by Bittrex, it was removed because it did not have a 0.5 btc daily volume. Removed only for low exchange volume. Bittrex pretend high volumes.

Apropos coinexchange. Your UFO pusher. I saw that my sellorder suddenly was hidden ?! I had placed the coins at a price of one bitcoin a piece. Maybe a bit over the limit. But anyway. Disappearing orders? That is odd! Perhaps that's what i mean when i say "insider trading".

Anyways. I deleted the order. Resubmitted it and it's on now.
