Which aspect of the security are you referring to? elliptic curve upgrades are always possible and easy to integrate. Also, RSA 2048 is extremely secure. As a reference, RSA 2048 is 2^32 more secure than RSA 1024. The highest known factorization is RSA 768. RSA 1024 is approximately 1000 times stronger than RSA 768. Meaning that our RSA modulus of 2048 is 5 trillion times stronger than current publicly known RSA factorization abilities.
oh boy, gonna be a busy week I guess Lots of reading to do! I see what you were talking about though, sorry if I didn't specify, I wasn't talking about elliptic curve. Do you have anything in mind regarding integration of a new one? I was referring to the RSA encryption you used to set up the accumulator, and where both you and Taco were pulling information about it from. He gave a pretty good link though, gonna read it now. I guess the elliptic curve being insecure against quantum computing is a focus of every cryptocurrency on this board and not just this one, so I'm really just looking to understand what you did for setting up the accumulator. Do you have any reading links as well? NVM, you posted the wikipedia link .. I'm sure that'll lead me somewhere. TY to both of you!

I'm seeing a coinbase transaction right now and it doesn't look like there's any zerocoin-related stuff. A regular address, a regular coinbase tx and so on. There's also a couple of rpc commands one for minting another one for sending zerocoins, apparently without any parameters My guess is this is a useless work-in-progress at best. It's just a regular coin with the theoretical possibility of turning regular coins into "zerocoins" and having both types of tx on the chain. That's a best case scenario, unless the dev has anything to say or prove ...

+1 For adding this in the upcoming VTC fork, and NOT creating a new coin out of it.
I think you should see it as a sidechain of Vert

Wow...so if they release this feature before many of coins are mined, the price will run up due to the low supply and then they can sell off the pre-mine with very little competition. Now i understand why they decided to "finish" zerocoin before they released the coin...the scams just keep getting better. ZeroVert Devs = 210,010 coins EVERYONE else = 1,800 coins Who's coins do you think will be for sale?

its 10 minute blocks target time not 60 sec.. its been 3.5 hrs and theres ~180 blocks only. Half in first 30 min. Retargeting is trying to play catchup to the hash coming online.

$MAID & $BTC other than that some short hodls and some long held garbage.

It will take a long time to catch up with that 2.5% premine/210,010 coins

Plus 120 confirms, so about a little less than a full day for confirmations, now that the difficulty is having an easier time keeping up with the hashrate.
