the stats fixed ?

maybe they did some sort of reboot ?

hashrate was all over the place for abt 10 days or so.

Hash rate is still over stated on the 10 minute interval.

Now what I would really like to know is how and why the pool address was changed to the antpool solo pool on ALL my miners? They are at 2 different locations and I am the only one that can log into them. So somehow bitmain/antpool changed it from their side?
Yes any pool can redirect you to another pool of the same name - using stratum.

I coded in the protection (a couple of years ago) into cgminer to restrict it to the same domain name.
So stratum is allowed to redirect spv.antpool.com to badforbitcoin.antpool.com

Thanks for the info. I have never heard that before. Learn something new everyday!

The website has a been a bit strange all day now (not refreshing or updating it seemed)... and now offline. Anyone else having the same problem? Seems to still be hashing, does Bitmain take the website offline from time to time for service or is this something new?

yup not working for me too, funnily enough blockchain.info isn't working either (that's why I tried a few pools)

From blockchain twitter: We are currently seeing a high amount of traffic related to a DOS attack. We're working to mitigate the issue.

You can try blocktrail.com or blockr.io as substitutes for blockchain.info.

Jonny's Pool - Mine with us and help us grow!  Support a pool that supports Bitcoin, not a hardware manufacturer's pockets!  No SPV cheats.  No empty blocks.

Use a real pool that doesn't SPV mine empty blocks & provides real support in a timely manner - you'll also be helping the network.

Everyone cares now only about his own profit. "F**k the network, f**k the clean and honest pools. Let the "dirty" pool steals some microcoins, but here and now I'll get maximum profit at this pool comparing to others..." - that's how they are thinking.

So the only company who's selling competitive miners is the worst thing to happen to Bitcoin?

I don't want to call you all a bunch of whining retards, but...

Let's keep things in perspective.

By all means, find another pool. But remember, as long as the hashrate is increasing this fast it's a gamble to join a small pool.

Edit: Slush is prob better than Kano. Join Kano or Bitminter when the hashrate has flatlined.

Well Slush - 4 blocks in last 24 hrs .

It seems antpool support is rubbish and no existence. Back to Kano

Sure, if you're mining just to have someone to talk to then antpool isn't that great.

Seems the SPV pools are blaming each other for their empty blocks now.......

You can see there are only four records for AntPool’s block 388238 (poor block propagation).

An SPV pool blaming another SPV pool for it's empty blocks....... Roll Eyes

And why?

P2pool - because it's truly decentralized. Then again, any reputable pool that doesn't SPV mine is better than antpool
