Has rate has suddenly dropped from 220 to 180.

They might have turned off S3 miners from HASHNEST. Just a guess...

why are they trying to make room for something like a 16nm chip miner which they want to test or just trying to cut electric costs you never know with BITMAIN ?

Hopefully people who care about their investments, that are on the overly sized pools will switch to a smaller pool sooner rather than later (and pools that don't mine empty blocks).

bad karma comes to those that get posts' deleted when they speak the truth Wink..  I agree it was OT but its an issue that needs addressed towards this pool and its operators!  You didnt forget BTC is decentralized right. thats what gives it its strength.. You and f2pool are a security issue for BTC whether you want to see it or not..   The free market will be the deciding factor who is right and who was wrong in the end.  Sorry if i offended you with truth!

Best Regards

Was 2014 any better, seriously?

Pool centralization and consolidation is not a new issue at all. It is an issue, but there are plenty of hyperactive threads around discussing the recent Mike Hearn quit / rant.

Yes actually a great breakthru occurred that year.. Ghash got to a point where they were mining over 51% and i think you know how that played out.. China now has over 70%!   At the end of 2014 it was about as decentralized as it had been that whole year after we got ghash to break up.  There is a point where your being too greedy and your pool is a harm to the entire network. >> Antpool on most days has issues propagating their blocks. when you find as many as they do. . Thats an issue for the rest of us miners. They have on some days a 10 - 40 second head start on the new block than rest of network. What worries me about increasing the block size. it will also increase the lag from antpool on block propagation..  F2pool who supports 2 MB doesnt seem to ever have issue with getting out their blocks..

China is not a pool. It is a country. What's th problem with many pools being in China?

I don't think its country specific but more the big pools in china's working practice of mining empty blocks therefore causing backlog in transactions which hurts the network when people have to wait ages for their transactions to be confirmed. Some of them also refuse to process other pools transactions again bad for the network and there's SPV mining too which again is bad for the network.

There's probably other things going on and politics, but this is my concern with any pool operator doing these things, regardless of country.

Was the PPS rate always 2.5% or did it just change? I always thought it was 3.5% which is the same as F2Pool after the NMC bonus (4%-1% NMC bonus)

I didn't have problems with Antpool, but switched to https://www.kano.is/index.php  just to support mining pool diversity.

It is good to notice,  that although Antpool has 0 fee and kano.is has 0.9% fee, Antpool keeps TX-payments itself and Kano doesn't.  So the end result is, that fee is about 1% in Antpool and 0.9% in Kano. When block halving occurs, TX payments are about 2% of total block reward, so Antpool will be more expensive then.

Please explain to me how my 24 hour earnings are more than my account balance when I only turned on the miners yesterday after being off since early November. My last payout was Nov 7.

The 24-Hour one is accurate. The other one is bullshit.

you will not get a reply from Antpool as they don't care to talk to anyone. Maybe a forum member could help? my suggestion is  join some other pool with forum support and cares for Bitcoin. Also you might have a payment, just not shown on antpool or confirmed yet.

In this case I care because that is what I am owed. The account balance is wrong.
