Back to bitcoin...

About 4.000 is waiting for verification at Gox  Grin

http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1a2dzz/just_submitted_mtgox_verification_position_3840/

Oh wow!   Average deposit is $500?   4000 x 500 = 2 million.   That takes us to $52.

Also from the comments:
Quote from: ebsarex
It's been a week now, I'm #830 and started at 2340
So assuming that's true, Gox processed 1520 verifications this week, and they still had enough new submissions to go from 2340 in line to 4020.

That is 3190 new submissions this last week only.
:-) maybe they want dump ...

So, here's a Q for all you professional wall watchers:

Why/how is the price going up with buy volume lagging sooooo far behind.  I don't really see any respectable volume on the buy side until $46ish.  That seems like it'd just invite selling down to volume.

Stay classy, 420. Stay classy.

No sellers of any size.  Anybody who would panic has done so already unless a really big bear comes along.  Then  you will see your selling down to volume.

But that's only half.  Why aren't more people putting in higher buy orders to catch the ones that do sell at all?  If you had perfect knowledge of the market and knew that no one ELSE would put a higher buy, then that makes sense.  But for everyone to passively agree and keep low buys seems...strange.

I'm not complaining at all.   It just strikes me as odd.

Another thought: what happens with the MtGox price if Coinlab starts with an exchange in the US? Less supply of fresh USD/other fiat @ MtGox would not support a big increase of prices @ MtGox. On the other hand, if less people can sell BTC at MtGox because they are no longer there, price won't go down.

Second thought: what if MtGox and Coinlab won't have a connection other than BTC? It will be more difficult to solve differences in prices (only the brave will transfer USD from Mt Gox to Coinlab and vice versa). I must say that other alt-coins can really be of value here to establish arbitrage between exchanges.

I could translate it into 'luring in the last suckers', but in the end, BTC will always goes up unless this pig dies along the way.

If I understood correctly coinlab will use the mtGox market. They're just going to handle the FIAT for the US people. Maybe I got that wrong?

You do realize that as the price rises more sellers come online, right?

I like this chart - the fiat ends in infinity near 0. Priceless.

The amount of BTC in sell orders below $50 is constantly shrinking. It's less and less, and less. At this rate it will be 1-2 days before we test $50.
